LiveSupport Toolbar Adware

What is LiveSupport Toolbar?
LiveSupport Toolbar is a dubious app that supposedly helps users to perform computer maintenance. By promising 'valuable functionality', LiveSupport Toolbar often tricks users into believing that it is legitimate. In fact, this application is classed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware.
One of the main reasons for these negative associations is stealth installation without users' consent. Following successful infiltration, LiveSupport Toolbar generates intrusive online ads and tracks users' web browsing activity.
LiveSupport Toolbar promotes other products created by the same company (PC Utilities Pro) including Optimizer Pro and Driver Pro. Both of these apps are also classed as PUPs. B
y stealth system infiltration and running in the background, these potentially unwanted programs diminish computer performance and, as with LiveSupport Toolbar, collect various data relating to web browsing activity including IP addresses, website URLs visited, search queries, and other similar data.
This information may seem insignificant, however, it might contain personal details. PC Utilities Pro later shares this gathered data with third parties who misuse it to generate revenue. This can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft.
Furthermore, LiveSupport Toolbar occasionally generates intrusive online advertisements that conceal the content of visited websites (thereby significantly diminishing the web browsing experience). They might also redirect to malicious websites - clicking them is risky and will potentially cause further adware or malware infections.
For these reasons, we strongly advise you to uninstall LiveSupport Toolbar immediately.
LiveSupport Toolbar is regular adware sharing many similarities with hundreds of other PUPs. Examples include ZipArcade, ArcadeRoyal, and Currency Converter 2 Go. All adware claims to enhance the web browsing experience by providing a number of 'valuable features', however, these claims are merely attempts to trick users to install.
The real purpose of applications such as LiveSupport Toolbar is to generate revenue for the developers. They provide no real value for users, collect private data, and continually display intrusive advertisements.
How did LiveSupport Toolbar install on my computer?
Research shows that, although LiveSupport Toolbar has an official download website, many users install this application inadvertently, since they do not pay enough attention when downloading and installing software. Aware of this, developers, conceal PUPs within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings, virtually guaranteeing successful infiltration.
Many users skip this section, often leading to inadvertent installation of potentially unwanted programs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Potentially unwanted programs are often distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional software with the chosen software/apps). For this reason, the download and installation procedures should never be rushed.
Closely analyze each step within the 'Custom/Advanced' section. All third party applications listed for download/installation should be cancelled immediately. Bundled software is often bogus and should be cancelled.
