Price Master Ads

What is Price Master?
Price Master supposedly saves time and money while shopping online by providing coupons, notifying users about special deals/discounts available on various online stores, and enabling functionality such as comparison shopping.
Many users believe this app to legitimate and useful, however, due to its rogue behavior, Price Master is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Price Master infiltrates systems without users’ permission, generates intrusive online advertisements, and continually tracks Internet browsing activity.
This application records Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine geo-location), website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries entered into search engines, cookies, web beacons, and other browsing-related data. On initial inspection, this information may seem insignificant, however, it is likely to contain personally identifiable details.
The developers of Price Master shares the data with third parties, and there is a high probability that it will be misused to generate revenue. Tracking of personal data can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Furthermore, Price Master generates coupon, pop-up, banner, and other similar intrusive advertisements.
Many users are unaware that these advertisements do not originate from their visited websites. By concealing underlying web content, ads generated by Price Master diminish the Internet browsing experience.
Although most lead to various online stores and other similar e-commerce sites, some redirect to the malicious site. Thus, clicking them may cause high-risk adware or malware infections.
Price Master Privacy Policy towards information sharing:
The Company may use third party service or software providers, in order to help it operate its business and/or Software, or to administer activities on its behalf. For this purpose the Company may share information it accepts or collects from Users. For example, the Company may share User’s information in order to provide Users with certain content which the Company or other third parties may think will be of interest to the User (such content may be provided either by the Company or by other third parties at its choice).
Price Master is not the only application offering money saving features. There are hundreds of other virtually identical PUPs. For instance, Internet Cupom, Dealz, CashBack, and FashioLifeApp also offer identical features. Neither Price Master, nor any of these other applications, provide and real value for users.
All adware is designed to generate revenue for the developers. Rather than providing any useful features, these applications generate intrusive online advertisements and collect personally identifiable information, thereby posing a threat to the system and user privacy.
How did Price Master install on my computer?
Although Price Master has an official download website, many users install this application inadvertently. The developers are aware that many users do not pay enough attention when downloading and installing software and, therefore, hide applications within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings.
Thus, by rushing the download and installation processes, users often install PUPs, thereby exposing their systems to risk of infection and compromising their privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To prevent installation of adware-type programs, pay close attention during the download and installation processes. Bear in mind that additionally-included software is mostly rogue. Therefore, you should select the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings and opt-out of all bundled software.
