MyAppsCloud Ads

What is MyAppsCloud?
MyAppsCloud is a deceptive application that, according to the developers, notifies users of available software updates - "We are doing the research for you - MyAppsCloud constantly finds software updates from leading software developers. With our massive community of developers, online vendors- you can be sure that we will find the best recent software updates for you!"
Initially, this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, however, be aware that MyAppsCloud is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). The main reasons for these negative associations is stealth installation, display of intrusive advertisements, and tracking of Internet browsing activity.
The developers of MyAppsCloud (IronSource Ltd) employ a virtual layer to display coupons, promotions of various services, and other similar advertisements. These applications might seem harmless, however, some can redirect to untrusted sites.
Therefore, clicking ads can lead to further high-risk computer infections and they will significantly diminish the Internet browsing experience by concealing underlying content.
In addition, MyAppsCloud collects information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, geographic location, language settings, time zone, operating system, Internet browsing details (website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, etc.), and other similar data.
The application's Privacy Policy states that gathered information is not personally identifiable, however, this statement is false, since the aforementioned data may indeed contain private details. The developers of MyAppsCloud later share this data with third parties who can misuse it to generate revenue.
For this reason, having MyAppsCloud installed on your system can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. If you are concerned with your privacy and Internet browsing safety, eliminate this PUP immediately.
MyAppsCloud is similar to hundreds of other adware-type applications claiming to offer various useful features for the user. All adware is developed to appear as legitimate, however, fake promises to enhance Internet browsing are simply attempts to trick users to install.
Neither MyAppsCloud, nor any other adware-type applications, provide any significant value for the user. The purpose of these applications is to generate revenue by displaying advertisements and gathering various user/system information - they are useless to the user.
How did MyAppsCloud install on my computer?
MyAppsCloud is distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of third party apps with the chosen software/apps), and therefore, it usually infiltrates without users' permission. Many users are unaware that rogue applications such as MyAppsCloud are hidden within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings.
By skipping this section, users can inadvertently install rogue applications and expose their systems to risk of further infections.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
This situation can be avoided by taking a number of simple steps. Use the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options when downloading and installing software. Closely analyze each step and opt-out of all third party applications. The key to computer safety is caution. Do not rush the download or installation processes.
