Fresh Outlook Adware

What is Fresh Outlook?
According to the developers (SuperWeb LLC), Fresh Outlook improves the Internet browsing experience by enabling a wide range of useful features - "We're passionate about improving web by providing the best tools to enhance the browsing experience, from searching the web to comparing online deals to find the best prices. We've combined all of our great ideas into the Fresh Outlook product suite, a FREE set of tools that work to make your browsing experience... better!".
These claims are simply attempts to encourage users to believe that this app is legitimate and useful. In fact, it is categorized as adware. The main reason for this negative association is its rogue behavior - Fresh Outlook displays various intrusive online advertisements and collects personally identifiable information.
Fresh Outlook adware employs a virtual layer to display graphical content on any visited website. Be aware that the displayed content does not originate from the visited site. Some of the ads are occasionally opened in new browser tabs/windows.
Although banner, pop-ups, search, interstitial, full-page, transitional, coupon, and other generated ads may seem harmless, they can redirect to bogus sites, thereby causing computer infection. Furthermore, Fresh Outlook continually monitors Internet browsing activity and collects various types of information, which is stored on remote servers and later shared with third parties.
This information (for example, Internet Protocol - IP - addresses, websites visited, search queries, pages viewed, geolocations, online shopping and other commercial activity, etc.) is indeed personally identifiable (for example, PayPal or bank account login/passwords).
This situation can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft, since third parties misuse the information to generate revenue. For these reasons, uninstall Fresh Outlook adware from your system immediately.
Fresh Outlook Privacy Policy statement regarding data collection:
We only share or sell your non-public personal information with non-affiliated third parties when we believe doing so is permitted by you or authorized by this Privacy Policy. In addition, the Company may share your personal information with our parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies without restriction.
Fresh Outlook belongs to a family of identical adware-type applications developed by SuperWeb LLC under different names. This is an attempt by the company to prevent legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus suites from detecting their adware. SquareTrace, BeepieBear, Sale Clipper, and On Stage are just some examples of apps developed by SuperWeb LLC.
Unfortunately, none provide users with the features promised - their purpose is to generate revenue by the display of ads (via the 'Pay Per Click' - PPC advertising model), and sharing information with third parties.
How did Fresh Outlook install on my computer?
Fresh Outlook is distributed via a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' - stealth installation of third party applications (usually bogus) with the chosen (often free) software. This method is effective, since many users do not pay enough attention when downloading and installing software.
Most users skip the download/installation steps, thereby inadvertently installing third party software that is likely to be hidden within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Download your desired software from a trusted source - usually, the official website. If you are downloading from a freeware download website, select the direct download rather than using download managers (these are used to monetize download websites' traffic and free services).
Although download managers supposedly ease the procedure, they are used simply to distribute third party software.
Therefore, always inspect each step of the download procedure to ensure that only the chosen software is downloaded. Furthermore, downloaded software should be installed using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal any third party software listed for installation and allow you to cancel it.
