Fragile Fixer Ads

What is Fragile Fixer?
Fragile Fixer is a rogue add-on claiming to enable features such as coupons and comparison shopping. Although this functionality may seem legitimate and useful, Fragile Fixer is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
The developers of this rogue plug-in (SuperWeb LLC) employ a deceptive free software marketing method called 'bundling' to install Fragile Fixer on Internet browsers without users' permission.
Bundling is a way to stealthily install applications together with other software, and therefore, most of users inadvertently install Fragile Fixer together with free software downloaded from freeware download websites.
Following successful infiltration on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, Fragile Fixer generates intrusive online advertisements including interstitial, banner, pop-up, coupon, search, transitional, and full-page ads. Be aware that clicking these advertisements can high-risk adware or malware infections.
Fragile Fixer records various information regarding users' Internet browsing activity. Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine users' geo-locations), unique identifier numbers, websites visited, search queries entered, and pages viewed are just some examples of data collected by this adware.
This information may be personally identifiable, and therefore, the behavior of this adware can cause serious privacy issues or even identity theft. SuperWeb LLC has released several hundred identical rogue applications including Metal Maker, Hard Case, and New App - these are just three examples from a long list.
Neither Fragile Fixer, nor any other applications released by SuperWeb LLC, provide any value for the user - they merely display advertisements and share collected details with third parties to generate revenue. For these reasons, Fragile Fixer should be uninstalled from your system immediately.
Most popular freeware download websites employ small download programs (called 'download managers', 'download clients', 'installers', etc.) to monetize their free services. Although download programs claim to ease the download process, they are developed to install additional programs together with the chosen free software.
According to the developers, these bundled applications are legitimate, however, most are considered to be adware or malware. To prevent this situation, you should closely inspect each step of the free software download process and click 'Decline' when installation of additional applications is offered.
Furthermore, downloaded applications should be installed using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings - this will reveal any concealed applications listed for installation and allow you to uncheck them. If you have installed Fragile Fixer, read the guidelines below and eliminate this PUP from your system.
