Ads by Internet Program

What is Internet Program?
Developed by SuperWeb LLC, Internet Program is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) claiming to enable use of the Internet. On initial inspection, Internet Program may seem a legitimate and useful browser extension, however, it is categorized as adware.
SuperWeb LLC employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional programs together with the chosen software) to install Internet Program on Internet browsers without users' consent.
Once Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox are successfully infiltrated, this PUP generates various advertisements and tracks users' Internet browsing activity.
These generated advertisements include (but are not limited to) banner, interstitial, transitional, search, and pop-up ads.
These ads are likely to cause further computer infections. Additionally, collected software and hardware information may be personally identifiable and include, for example, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine geo-location), URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, unique identifier numbers, and other details.
This information tracking can result in serious privacy issues. SuperWeb LLC has released several hundred rogue browser add-ons similar to Internet Program. For example: LeapSense, Webfuii, and Shamanu. None of these applications (including Internet Program) are useful to the user.
This company intentionally releases identical browser extensions under different names to avoid detection by legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware software - their purpose is to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online ads and sharing collected data with third parties. Therefore, you are strongly advised to uninstall this adware from your Internet browsers.
Research shows that most adware is distributed via small programs called 'download managers' on freeware download websites such as download.com, softonic.com, and soft32.com.
Download managers are used to monetize these websites' traffic and free services by offering installation of promoted (according to the developers, '100% legitimate and virus-free') applications or browser plug-ins together with the chosen free software. Thus, careless download and installation of freeware often leads to adware or malware infections.
You can avoid this situation by closely observing each step of the free software download process and clicking 'Decline' if installation of any additional applications is offered. Furthermore, when installing downloaded software, select the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options - this will allow you to opt-out of any hidden applications listed for installation.
If you have installed Internet Program, follow the removal guide provided to uninstall this potentially unwanted program.
