Ads by Ge-Force

What is Ge-Force?
Created by a company called Goobzo, the Ge-Force browser add-on claims to enhance user interaction with various websites by rendering graphics, text, or other functional or interactive content within the browser. While this added functionality may seem legitimate, be aware that Ge-Force is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.
Developers of this browser extension employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling', and therefore, most Internet users install Ge-Force inadvertently without their consent when downloading free software.
After successful infiltration, this adware generates banner or textual reference ads and tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording search terms, websites visited, browser type, operating system type, IP address, geographic location, and other information.
Installation of Ge-Force could lead to malware infections and privacy issues, and therefore, you are advised to eliminate this potentially unwanted program (PUP) from your Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox). Ge-Force is advertised as a useful plug-in, however, its main purpose is to generate revenue from intrusive ads.
Ge-Force is similar to other potentially unwanted applications, which infiltrate Internet browsers via free software downloads. Examples include TornPlusTV, BuyNsave, VPN Privat, and Web Result. To avoid installation of adware such as this, express caution when downloading and installing free software.
Today, most freeware download websites employ 'download clients' - small programs that manage the download process and offer installation of advertised browser extensions together with the chosen free program. To avoid adware infections, decline installation of promoted browser plug-ins.
When installing downloaded free software, use the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' options - this will reveal any 'bundled' potentially unwanted applications listed for installation. Computer users who observe ads by Ge-Force should use this removal guide to eliminate adware from their Internet browser/s.
