What is BrowsersAppProPlus?
Created by Railroad Party Apps, the BrowsersAppProPlus browser add-on claims to save time and money when shopping online. Although this functionality may seem legitimate, the BrowsersAppProPlus browser extension is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.
This plug-in adds no real value and generates intrusive third party ads ('Ads by BrowsersAppProPlus') including, for example, sponsored links, coupons, deals, shopping comparison, content suggestions, banners, pop-up, and pop-under advertisements. Clicking ads displayed by BrowsersAppProPlus can result in high-risk malware infections.
As well as generating deceptive ads (some leading to Today's Best Online Deals, Online Advertising Support, and InterYield), this bogus browser plug-in tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording pages visited, movement from page-to-page, users' web requests, Internet Protocol addresses, browser information and application numbers, referring pages, cookies, geographical locations, date/times, and other information.
This unwanted tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or identity theft. At time of research, this adware was distributed using deceptive free software 'download clients' to trick users into installing BrowsersAppProPlus without their consent.
To avoid further damage, which can be caused by poorly-programmed adware, eliminate this potentially unwanted application from your Internet browser/s.
BrowsersAppProPlus is similar to other adware, which infiltrates browsers through freeware downloads. Examples include Easy Discount Pro, ApptoU, GetTheDiscount, and Popcornew. These browser extensions claim to enhance the Internet browsing experience, however, they only diminish browser performance and cause intrusive ads.
To avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications such as these, express caution when downloading and installing free software. Today, most freeware download websites employ deceptive 'download clients' to monetize their free services.
Download clients are small programs, which manage the download process of free software and offer download of advertised browser plug-ins together with the chosen freeware. To avoid adware infections, computer users should decline installation of any promoted browser extensions.
Furthermore, when installing downloaded free programs, choose the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options - this will reveal installation of any bundled adware. Internet users who observe 'Ads by BrowsersAppProPlus' should use this removal guide to eliminate this potentially unwanted program from their Internet browsers.
