Supreme Shopper Ads

What is Supreme Shopper?
Developed by a company called Sparta Tech & Media Ltd, Supreme Shopper is a rogue browser add-on.
This potentially unwanted program (PUP) employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling', and therefore, computers are often infected with Supreme Shopper during download of free software via small programs called 'download clients' on freeware download websites such as download.com, softonic.com, and soft32.com
Supreme Shopper claims to save time and money by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and displaying discounts/special deals available on shopping websites. Although this functionality may seem useful and legitimate, be aware that Supreme Shopper is categorized as adware, since it generates intrusive online advertisements and tracks users' Internet browsing activity.
Following successful infiltration on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome, Supreme Shopper generates numerous intrusive online advertisements including coupon, banner, in-text, pop-up, and interstitial ads. There is a high probability that clicking these advertisements will lead to high-risk adware or malware infections.
Furthermore, this potentially unwanted program monitors users' Internet browsing activity by recording various software and hardware information including, for example, search queries entered, website URLs visited, pages viewed, cookies, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, geo-locations, and other related details.
This behavior may result in serious privacy issues or identity theft, and therefore, you are strongly advised to eliminate Supreme Shopper from your Internet browsers.
Supreme Shopper is similar to other PUPs that use bundling as an installation method such as Shopper Pro, SaveSense, Sense, and many others. None of these plug-ins provide any real value for the user - their purpose is to generate income by the display of intrusive online advertisements.
Research reveals that Supreme Shopper is mostly distributed via small programs called 'download clients' on freeware download websites. Download clients are used to monetize these websites' free services by offering installation of advertised (according to the developers, '100% legitimate') browser add-ons together with the chosen software.
Thus, reckless download and installation of freeware often results in adware or malware infections. Installation of Supreme Shopper, or other similar adware, can be prevented by paying close attention to each step of the free software download process and never accepting installation of any additional programs offered.
In addition, users who are installing downloaded software, should choose the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Regular' - this will reveal any bundled applications listed for installation and allow you to decline them. If you have already installed Supreme Shopper adware, follow this removal guide to eliminate it from your Internet browsers.
