Ads by Browser App

What is Browser App (or Browsers App)?
The Browser App browser add-on (created by Melora Investment Limited) claims to save time and money when shopping online. While this functionality may seem legitimate, this browser extension is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.
This plug-in adds no real value and generates intrusive third party ads ('Ads by Browser App'), including, for example, sponsored links, coupons, deals, shopping comparison, content suggestions, banners, pop-up and pop-under advertisements. Clicking ads displayed by Browser App can result in high-risk malware infections.
As well as generating deceptive ads (some leading to Online Advertising Support and InterYield), this bogus browser plug-in tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording pages visited, movement from page-to-page, users' web requests, Internet Protocol addresses, browser information and application numbers, referring pages, cookies, geographical locations, date/times, and other information.
This unwanted tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or identity theft. At time of research, this adware was distributed using deceptive free software 'download clients' to trick users into installing Browser App without their consent. To avoid further damage, which can be caused by this poorly-programmed adware, eliminate this potentially unwanted application from your Internet browser/s.
Browser App is similar to other adware, which infiltrates browsers through freeware downloads. Examples include PastaQuotes, Trust Media Viewer, Fraven, and PassWidget. These browser extensions promise to enhance Internet browsing, however, they only diminish browser performance and cause intrusive ads.
To avoid installation of these potentially unwanted applications, express caution when downloading and installing free software. Today, most freeware download websites use deceptive 'download clients' to monetize their free services.
Download clients are small programs, which manage the download process of the chosen free software and offer download of advertised browser plug-ins with the chosen freeware. To avoid adware infections, computer users should decline installation of promoted browser extensions.
Moreover, when installing downloaded free programs, choose the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options - this will reveal installation of any bundled adware. Internet users who observe 'Ads by Browser App' (or 'Ads by Browseri_Appe') should use this removal guide to eliminate this potentially unwanted program from their Internet browser/s.
