Sexy Tube Mode Ads

What is Sexy Tube Mode?
Created by Big Water Applications LLC, the Sexy Tube Mode rogue browser extension claims to allow users to adjust their computer screen lights while watching online videos.
Although this may seem a legitimate and useful browser extension, be aware that Sexy Tube Mode is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application since it employs a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional applications together with the chosen software) to install on browsers without users' permission.
After successful infiltration on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, Sexy Tube Mode tracks users' Internet browsing activity and generates intrusive online advertisements.
These intrusive advertisements include pop-up, in-text, interstitial, text-link, and banner ads. Clicking these advertisements is likely to cause high-risk adware or malware infections. In addition, Sexy Tube Mode continually monitors users' Internet browsing activity, recording various information, which may be personally identifiable.
For example: IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, operating systems, browser types, cookies, URLs visited, pages viewed, language settings, geographic locations, and other similar details. This behavior may lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft, and for this reason, you are strongly advised to uninstall Sexy Tube Mode from your Internet browsers.
Sexy Tube Mode is similar to other rogue browser add-ons (such as Theater Mode, Lights Off, and TV Wizard), which claim to improve users' Internet browsing experience by enabling certain functions. These plug-ins are useless to the user, since their purpose is to generate income by the display of intrusive online advertisements.
Most users infect their computers with adware such as Sexy Tube Mode when downloading free software via small programs called 'download managers' on freeware download websites.
These websites (including download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, etc.) employ download managers to monetize their free services since they offer installation of promoted 'virus-free' browser extensions together with the chosen free software. Thus, reckless download and installation of freeware risks computer infection with adware or malware.
To avoid installation of Sexy Tube Mode, or other potentially unwanted applications, be attentive during download of free software and click 'Decline' when installation of additional programs is offered.
If you are installing downloaded software, select the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Regular' - this will reveal any bundled applications and allow you to remove them from the installation list. Internet users who have already installed Sexy Tube Mode adware, should follow this removal guide to eliminate it from their Internet browsers.
