Ultra Downloads Notifier Ads

What is Ultra Notifier?
Created by a company called UltraDownloads, Ultra Notifier is a browser add-on claiming to display the best content and shopping deals on users' Internet browsers. The plug-in is compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.
While the functionality of Ultra Notifier may seem legitimate, be aware that this plug-in is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application. Users often install this browser extension inadvertently without their consent when downloading free software. Developers of this add-on employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling'.
This marketing method is legal, however, many of the analysed free software 'download clients' and 'installers' do not properly disclose additional applications, which will be installed together with free programs chosen for download or installation.
Following successful installation, Ultra Notifier generates intrusive online advertisements, including sponsored links, banner ads, pop-unders, interstitial ads, coupons, video ads, and other online ads.
Furthermore, this add-on tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording browser names, IP addresses, URLs of websites visited, search terms users enter into search engines, and other hardware and software information, which can be personally identifiable.
The presence of the Ultra Notifier add-on on your system may lead to malware infections (when clicking on ads generated by this plugin), and since it tracks Internet browsing activity, may lead to privacy issues and identity theft.
A clear indication that your computer is infected with this adware are random pop-ups and Nav Link advertisements visible when browsing the Internet. For these reasons, you are advised to eliminate this potentially unwanted application from your Internet browsers.
The Ultra Notifier plugin is similar to other adware, which infiltrates browsers through free software downloads. Examples include GenesisOffers, PriceMeter, and WinDealist. These browser extensions install on browsers when users download or install free software.
They claim to enhance users' Internet browsing experience by adding various useful features, however, they only generate intrusive online ads and diminish browser performance. The purpose of these browser plug-ins is to generate revenue from intrusive advertisements and user browser tracking.
To avoid installation of Ultra Notifier, be attentive when downloading and installing freeware. When downloading free programs, inspect each step and decline installation of any advertised browser extensions.
When installing downloaded free programs, choose the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options - this will reveal any bundled adware listed for installation, and you will be able to opt-out of installation of these additional applications.
Computer users who observe ads generated by Ultra Notifier when browsing the Internet, should use this removal guide to eliminate this adware from their Internet browsers.
