PureLeads Virus

What is PureLeads?
The PureLeads is a potentially unwanted application, which generates coupon and deals ads when Internet users visit online shopping websites such as eBay, Amazon, Walmart, etc. This program is compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firexox.
Whilst savings on purchases made online may seem beneficial, many computer users refer to PureLeads as adware, spyware, or a virus. These negative associations are made since this browser add-on is a potentially unwanted application, which installs on users' computers without their consent.
PureLeads installs together with free software downloaded from the Internet. Following installation, PureLeads generates unwanted and intrusive pop-up ads from third-party ad networks, which can cause serious computer security and privacy issues.
This browser extension is not technically a computer virus, however, it tracks users' browsing habits, generates unwanted ads, and installs without consent. If you observe ads by PureLeads on your screen, your computer is infiltrated with adware and you are advised to eliminate it.
PureLeads is similar to other potentially unwanted applications such as Trusted Shopper, Savingmachine, Waleisa, and many others. The best way to avoid installation of this adware is to be attentive when downloading and installing any free software.
Today, most free software download websites (for example, download.com, softonic.com, soft32.com, etc.) employ 'download clients' and 'installers' (small third-party programs offering installation of various browser add-ons together with the downloaded freeware).
In most cases, promoted browser add-ons cause redirects or generate unwanted ads. Avoid installation of any promoted browser add-ons by choosing the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' software installation options. If you have already installed the PureLeads application, use the removal guide provided to eliminate this adware from your computer.
