Web Frog Ads

What is Web Frog?
Web Frog is a rogue browser extension developed by SuperWeb LLC. It pledges to enhance user's Internet browsing experience by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and adding other useful features. Even though Web Frog might seem as a legitimate browser extension, user's should know that it is considered as a potentially unwanted application or an adware.
This rogue browser add-on uses a delusive software marketing method called bundling to install on user's Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome) without one's consent.
After successfully infiltrating Web Frog starts monitoring user's Internet browsing by recording diverse hardware and software information, such as: IP address, unique identifier number, URL's visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar information.
On top of that, it generates various types of intrusive online advertisement, including: banner, text-link, search, interstitial, transitional, and full page ads.
Having adware like Web Frog on one's PC may lead to serious privacy issues, identity theft or malware infections. By the time of research, developers of this browser extension (SuperWeb LLC) had released more than a hundred of rogue browser plugins, identical to Web Frog.
SuperWeb LLC is intentionally releasing identical browser extensions with different names to avoid the detection by legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Neither Web Frog, nor any other of these extensions add any true value for the user. Their main purpose is to generate income by showing intrusive online advertisements.
Internet users should know that most of adware is distributed via download managers in freeware download websites, like download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, and many other. Most of these websites are using small download programs to monetize their free services by offering users to install promoted browser extensions together with the chosen free software.
The careless download and installation of free software may easily end up in adware or malware infections. This can be prevented by closely inspecting every step of freeware download process and never accepting the offered installation of additional applications.
If you're installing the already downloaded software, always select "Custom" or "Advanced" installation settings instead of "Typical" or "Quick", this step will reveal all the bundled applications and you'll be able to decline their installation.
Computer users who have already installed Web Frog and now see "Web Frog Deals", "Powered by Web Frog" and "Ads by Web Frog" advertisements when browsing the Internet should follow this removal guide and eliminate Web Frog adware from their Internet browsers.
