TasticSurf Ads

What is TasticSurf?
The TasticSurf browser extension claims to enhance users' Internet browsing experience by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, and other similar functions. Although such functionality may seem legitimate, users should be aware that it is considered to be adware.
This rogue browser extension was developed by SuperWeb LLC and is optimized for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome.
TasticSurf uses a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional applications together with the chosen software), and for this reason, users often install this adware inadvertently without their consent.
Following successful infiltration, TasticSurf generates various intrusive online advertisements such as interstitial, transitional, text link, banner, search, and full page ads.
Furthermore, it continually monitors users' Internet browsing activity by recording various hardware and software information including IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, search queries entered, URLs visited, pages viewed, and other similar information.
Having adware such as TasticSurf installed on your computer may lead to serious privacy issues or malware infections. The developers of this potentially unwanted application (SuperWeb LLC) have released over one hundred rogue browser extensions identical to TasticSurf including, for example, BeatTool, Okiitan, and MossNet.
None of these add any real value for the user - the actual purpose of these plug-ins is to generate income by the display of intrusive online advertisements. SuperWeb LLC intentionally releases identical plugins under different names to avoid detection by legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.
Most current freeware download websites employ 'download managers' to monetize their free services - small programs offering installation of promoted 'legitimate' browser add-ons together with the chosen free software. Thus, reckless download and installation of freeware risks computer infection with adware or malware.
Installation of potentially unwanted programs can be prevented by closely inspecting each step during the download of free software and declining installation of any additional applications offered.
When installing downloaded freeware, select the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - in this way, bundled applications attempting infiltration will be revealed, and you will be able to opt-out of their installation.
Users who have already installed TasticSurf and observe "Ads by TasticSurf", "TasticSurf Deals", and "Powered by TasticSurf" advertisements when browsing the Internet, should follow this removal guide to remove TasticSurf adware from their Internet browser/s.
