SwizzleBiz Ads

What is SwizzleBiz?
SwizzleBiz is a rogue browser extension created by SuperWeb LLC. This potentially unwanted application claims to improve users' Internet browsing experience by displaying website trust ratings and related content within websites, enabling coupons and comparison shopping, and other functions.
On initial inspection, this may appear to be a legitimate browser extension, however, users should be aware that it is categorized as adware since SwizzleBiz installs on browsers using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional applications together with the chosen software) without users' consent.
Following successful infiltration (on the Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox browsers), the extension generates various intrusive advertisements including text link, banner, search, interstitial, transitional, and full page ads.
Furthermore, this rogue browser extension tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording diverse hardware and software information such as IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, search queries, URLs visited, pages viewed, and other similar information. Internet usage monitoring such as this may lead to privacy issues or identity theft.
The developers of this potentially unwanted application (SuperWeb LLC) have released over one hundred identical browser extensions under different names (for example: Fortunitas, SquareTrace, and Enhancetronic) to avoid detection by legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus software.
In fact, none of the browser plugins created by this company, including SwizzleBit, add any real value for the user. The purpose of these browser extensions is to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online advertisements. Most adware similar or identical to SwizzleBit is distributed via 'download managers' within freeware download websites.
Commonly, freeware download websites (such as download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, and many others) use download managers to monetize their free services - small programs offering installation of advertised browser add-ons along with the chosen free software.
Thus, reckless downloading and installation of freeware may result in system infection with adware or malware. To prevent installation of SwizzleBit, or other similar adware, inspect each step during the download of free software and decline installation of any additional applications.
When installing downloaded software, choose the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' settings, rather than 'Regular' or 'Quick' - this will reveal bundled applications and you will be able to decline installation of them.
Users who observe "Ads by SwizzleBit", "Powered by SwizzleBit", and "SwizzleBit Deals" advertisements when browsing the internet, should follow this removal guide to eliminate SwizzleBit adware from their Internet browser/s.
