Search Vortex Ads

What is Search Vortex?
Search Vortex is a potentially unwanted browser extension developed by SuperWeb LLC and optimized for Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. This browser add-on promises to enhance the quality of users' Internet browsing experience by enabling coupons, comparison shopping, displaying website trust ratings, and enabling other functions.
Although this added functionality may seem legitimate, users should be aware that Search Vortex is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application since it infiltrates browsers using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of additional applications together with the chosen free software).
After successful infiltration, Search Vortex generates a diverse range of intrusive advertisements, including interstitial, transitional, text link, banner, search, and full page ads.
Furthermore, this plug-in tracks users' Internet browsing activity by recording various personal information such as IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, browser information, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries entered, and other information.
The presence of Search Vortex or other similar adware on your system may lead to serious privacy issues, identity theft, or malware infections. SuperWeb LLC has developed over a hundred potentially unwanted applications identical to Search Vortex including DoughGo, Fralimbo, or CommonShare.
This company releases identical browser plug-ins under different names in order to avoid detection by legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus software. Note that none of these browser extensions, including Search Vortex, add any true value for the Internet users. The real purpose of these rogue browser plug-ins is to generate income by displaying intrusive online advertisements.
Most current freeware download websites, such as download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, and others, use 'downloading clients' to monetize their free services.
Download clients are small programs offering installation of promoted browser extensions along with the chosen software, thus, Internet users should be aware that reckless download and installation of this freeware may result in adware infections. To avoid installation of Search Vortex or other similar adware, express caution when downloading and installing freeware.
Whenever you download free software, decline installation of additional promoted applications. When installing downloaded free programs, choose the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal all bundled applications listed for installation along with the chosen software, and you will be able to decline installation of them.
Users who observe "Ads by Search Vortex", "Powered by Search Vortex", or "Search Vortex Deals" advertisements should follow this removal guide to eliminate this rogue application from their Internet browser/s.
