What is UnfriendApp?
The UnfriendApp browser add-on enables Facebook users to see who 'unfriended' them. This is a popular browser extension created by GenTechnologies Apps LLC.
Internet users should be aware that, although the added Facebook functionality may appear legitimate, many computer users report that after installing UnfriendApp they observe many unwanted ads and experience diminished Internet browser performance.
Moreover, some computer users report that UnfriendApp was installed on their Internet browsers (Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox) without their consent. Note that this browser plug-in may be 'bundled' with free software downloaded from the Internet.
To avoid unwilling installation of UnfriendApp, pay close attention to the freeware installation steps and always choose the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation option, rather than 'Typical' or 'Quick'.
Ensure that you disallow installation of additional software (including browser add-ons and toolbars), and opt-out of any options suggesting changes to the homepage, default search engine settings, etc. UnfriendApp is a potentially unwanted program (PUP), and thus, it is recommended that you eliminate this adware from your Internet browser/s.
UnfriendApp is not related to Facebook, however, allowing this browser add-on access to your information could result in serious privacy issues.
This plug-in is not a computer virus and not related to malware, however, since UnfriendApp displays unwanted ads and may install without your consent, it is categorized as adware. To remove UnfriendApp from your Internet browser/s, use the removal guide provided.
