What is Αστυνομία Κύπρου?

This message, purportedly from Αστυνομία Κύπρου (Cyprus Police), demands payment of a 100 Euro fine. This is a scam, a ransomware infection created by cyber criminals to scare unsuspecting PC users into paying bogus fines for alleged law violations.

The deceptive text within this message states that computer users must pay a fine for watching pornography or using copyrighted content (music, videos, software). In fact, Αστυνομία Κύπρου do not send this type of message - no international authorities use screen locking messages to collect fines for any law violations.

Computer users from Cyprus should be aware that paying a fine when ordered by this message is equivalent to sending money to cyber criminals. This particular ransomware originates from a family called Reveton and exploits the name and graphics of Αστυνομία Κύπρου.

Ransomware of this type is localized such that computer users from different countries see variants of the same deceptive message. For example, PC users from the USA observe this message as if sent by the FBI Cybercrime Division (International Cyber Security Protection Alliance).

'Εχετε παρσΒιάαει των κώδικα του ,Νόμου Πνευματικής Ιδιοκτησίας και Συγγενικών Δικαιωμάτων Βίντεο, μουσική, λογισμικό) και παράνομη χρήση ή πνευματικά δικαιώματα διανομής περιεχομένου, παρσΒιάζονεσς τον άρθρο 128 του Ποινικού Κώδικα της Κύπρος.
Το όρθρο 128 του Ποινικού Κώδικα προΒλέπει πρόστιμο από 200 έως 500 ελάχιστες αμοιΒές ή φυλάκιση από 2 έως 8 χρόνια.
'Εχετε προΒάλει ή διαμένετε στης ιστοσελίδες με απαγορευμένα πορνογραφικά περιεχόμενα )παιδοφιλία / και ζωοφιλία κλπ) Έτσι παραβιάσατε το όρθρο 202 του Ποινικού Κώδικα της Κύπρος. Το άρθρο 202 του Ποινικού Κώδικα προΒλέπει την φυλάκιση από 4 έως 12 χρόνια.

7ο άρθρο 208 του Ποινικού Κώδικα προΒλέπει πρόστιμο μέχρι Κ100.000 περίπου και/ή την φυλάκιση από 4 έως 9 χρόνια.
'ισως παράνομη πρόσΒσση είχε ξεκινήσει από τον υπολογιστή σας χωρίς τη γνώση και συναίνεσή σας, ο υπολογιστής σας μπορεί να είχε μολυνθεί από κσκόΒουλο λογισμικό, έτσι έχετε παρσΒιάσει το νόμο τις Παραμελημένης Χρήση των Προσωπικών Υπολογιστών. Το άρθρο 210 του Ποινικού Κώδικα προΒλέπει πρόστιμο από €2.000 έως €8.000. Ανεπιθύμητα μηνύματα κατανομής ή άλλη παράνομη διαφήμιση είχε σταλεί από τον υπολογιστή σας ως κερδοσκοπική δραστηριότητα ή ίσως χωρίς τη γνώση σας, ο υπολογιστής σας μπορεί να είχε μολυνθεί από κακόΒουλο λογισμικό.
Το άρθρο 212 του Ποινικού Κώδικα προΒλέπει πρόστιμο μέχρι €250.000 και!η την φυλάκιση έως και 6 χρόνια. Σε περίπτωση που η δραστηριότητα αυτή έχει γίνει χωρίς τη γνώση σας, τότε υπάγεστε στο προαναφερόμενο άρθρο 210 του Ποινικού Κώδικα της Κύπρος.
Τα προσωπικά σας στοιχεία και η διεύθυνση σας αυτή την στιγμή αναγνωρίστηκαν, μια ποινική υπόθεση πρόκειται να κινηθεί εναντίον σας κάτω από ένα ή περισσότερα άρθρα που αναφέρονται παραπάνω μέσα στις επόμενες 72 ώρες.
Σύμφωνα με την τροποποίηση του Ποινικού Κώδικα της Κύπρος του 04 ΦεΒρουσρίου 2013, η πσράΒσση του νόμου )αν δεν επαναλσμΒδνετσι και είναι για πρώτη φορά) μπορεί να θεωρηθεί ως προϋπόθεση σε περίπτωση που πληρώσει το πρόστιμο στο κράτος.
Τα πρόστιμο μπορεί να καταβληθεί μόνο μέσα σε 72 ώρες μετά από την παράΒααη.
