What is Brothersoft?
Brothersoft toolbar is a browser add-on, which is designed to enhance computer users' Internet browsing experience by adding various shortcuts to the top of the Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome browsers. This toolbar can be downloaded from software distribution websites or is bundled with certain free software downloads.
Whilst browser add-ons can be useful, Brothersoft extreme toolbar is categorized as an unwanted application, since the toolbar has deceptive default installation settings.
By default, this toolbar changes your homepage to search.conduit.com and displays misleading advertisements within its components. Furthermore, you will be unable to eliminate this add-on by simply uninstalling it from your computer's Control Panel.
The search engine presented in your new homepage is powered by Google and is a modified variant, which displays sponsored results that are often unrelated to your search term. This is one of the deceptive ways in which Brothersoft toolbar monetizes incoming traffic.
Many PC users complain that they have installed Brothersoft toolbar unwillingly when installing free downloadable software. To avoid such incidents, always study program installation windows carefully, since free software is commonly bundled with various toolbars.
If you are not cautious, you could inadvertently install Brothersoft toolbar or other unwanted toolbars on your system.
Brothersoft toolbar is not spyware or a virus, but if you feel that you have installed it accidentally and do not require it within your Internet browsers, follow this step-by-step removal guide. Note that uninstalling this toolbar from your Control Panel will not eliminate this add-on from your browsers.
To remove it and reset your homepage, follow the removal instructions provided.
