Fake "Hyperlane Registration" website overview
This scam site is a close visual copy of Hyperlane (hyperlane.xyz) – a platform that enables digital asset transfer between different chains without the necessity of any permissions or centralized intermediary involvement. We found this scheme on registrations-hyperlane[.]app but it could be hosted on other domains as well.
The fake webpage implies that users who register within the next 24 hours will receive rewards. It must be emphasized that the implied rewards do not exist, and this site is in no way associated with the actual Hyperlane or any other existing platforms, projects, and entities.
When the "Register Now" button is pressed, the page requests to connect a cryptowallet. Doing so signs a malicious contract that facilitates the cryptocurrency drainer Basically, funds are transferred to scammer-owned wallets.
These automated transactions may appear innocuous; therefore, they can remain unnoticed for a significant amount of time. Drainers may also be able to approximate the value of digital assets and prioritize their theft.
Furthermore, cryptocurrency transactions are practically untraceable – hence, they cannot be reversed. Therefore, victims of scams like this fake "Hyperlane Registration" website cannot recover their assets.

Cryptocurrency drainer scam examples
"Claim $NEMO", "Helium Rewards", and "PEANUT Airdrop" are just a few of our newest articles on crypto drainers. Scams that seek cryptocurrency tend to do so in one of three ways – using draining mechanisms to siphon funds from victims' wallets, targeting wallet log-in credentials, and tricking users into manually transferring assets to criminal-owned wallets.
While online schemes are often poorly made and riddled with errors, they can be competently put together, and some even perfectly copy the design of legitimate sites. Due to how widespread scams are on the Web and how well-disguised they can be – we strongly advise caution when browsing and investing.
How did I open a scam website?
Online scams are primarily promoted through malvertising, webpages using rogue advertising networks, spam (e.g., emails, PMs/DMs, social media posts, SMSes, browser notifications, etc.), typosquatting (mistyped URLs), and adware.
Crypto drainers are often endorsed via intrusive pop-up ads (malvertising). Some are even fully functional drainers themselves. It is pertinent to mention that these advertisements have been encountered on genuine websites that had been compromised.
Cryptocurrency-specific scams are also prevalent on social media platforms. These promotional spam posts and private/direct messages can be made using hacked accounts (i.e., ones originally belonging to real projects, companies, organizations, entrepreneurs, celebrities, influencers, etc.).
How to avoid visiting scam websites?
Caution is paramount to online safety. Therefore, always be wary of ads and websites making offers that sound too good to be true. Do not use sites offering pirated content or other questionable services (e.g., Torrenting, illegal streaming/downloading, etc.), as these webpages are usually monetized via rogue advertising networks.
Pay attention to URLs and enter them carefully. Do not permit suspicious pages to display browser notifications; instead, ignore or deny these requests (i.e., select "Block", "Block Notifications", etc.). Approach incoming emails, PMs/DMs, SMSes, and other messages with vigilance; do not open attachments or links in dubious/irrelevant mail.
Download only from official/verified sources and treat installations with care (e.g., study terms and options, use "Custom/Advanced" settings, and opt out of additional apps, extensions, etc.) – to prevent bundled/hazardous software from infiltrating the system.
If your computer is already infected, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate all threats.

How to identify a pop-up scam?
Pop-up windows with various fake messages are a common type of lures cybercriminals use. They collect sensitive personal data, trick Internet users into calling fake tech support numbers, subscribe to useless online services, invest in shady cryptocurrency schemes, etc.
While in the majority of cases these pop-ups don't infect users' devices with malware, they can cause direct monetary loss or could result in identity theft.
Cybercriminals strive to create their rogue pop-up windows to look trustworthy, however, scams typically have the following characteristics:
- Spelling mistakes and non-professional images - Closely inspect the information displayed in a pop-up. Spelling mistakes and unprofessional images could be a sign of a scam.
- Sense of urgency - Countdown timer with a couple of minutes on it, asking you to enter your personal information or subscribe to some online service.
- Statements that you won something - If you haven't participated in a lottery, online competition, etc., and you see a pop-up window stating that you won.
- Computer or mobile device scan - A pop-up window that scans your device and informs of detected issues - is undoubtedly a scam; webpages cannot perform such actions.
- Exclusivity - Pop-up windows stating that only you are given secret access to a financial scheme that can quickly make you rich.
