kzos[.]xyz overview
It is pertinent to mention that the content encountered on and via rogue webpages might vary depending on the visitor's IP address/ geolocation.
At the time of research, kzos[.]xyz stated – "We have registered suspicious traffic coming from your network. Using this page, we will be able to determine that you are not the robot." and included a checkbox-type CAPTCHA test. Once this bogus verification process was completed, the page instructed to – "Press 'Allow' to prove that you are not a robot".
The "Allow" button is the consent option to kzos[.]xyz browser notification delivery. After we pressed this button, we were redirected to a site running a scam similar to "McAfee - A Virus Has Been Found On Your PC!", "McAfee - TROJAN_2022 And Other Viruses Detected", "McAfee Safety Warning", "McAfee - Your Computer Is Infected With Viruses", and countless others.
Rogue websites use their notifications to run intrusive advertisement campaigns. These ads can endorse online scams, untrustworthy/dangerous software, and even malware.

Browser notification spam in general
We have investigated thousands of rogue websites; gadscare[.]top, prasst[.]com, crughtshlocyal[.]com, and agagaure[.]com are merely a few of our latest finds.
These pages deliver browser notifications that promote deceptive/malicious content. It is noteworthy that any legitimate products/services encountered through these adverts are most likely endorsed by scammers who abuse their affiliate programs to obtain illegitimate commissions.
How did kzos[.]xyz gain permission to deliver spam notifications?
Websites can only deliver browser notifications with user permission. Hence, if you are seeing these ads from kzos[.]xyz – it means that when this page was accessed, consent to their delivery was given by clicking "Allow", "Allow Notifications", or a similar option.
How to prevent deceptive sites from delivering spam notifications?
Always be selective when enabling websites to deliver browser notifications. Do not permit suspicious pages to do so, and instead ignore or deny such notification requests (i.e., press "Block", "Block Notifications", etc.).
It must be mentioned that having adware installed on the browser or system may result in dubious sites being force-opened at random. Should you keep experiencing redirects of this kind, check the device and immediately remove all suspect applications and browser extensions/plug-ins.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
