Removal instructions for the DynamicMore adware-type app
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What kind of application is DynamicMore?
Our research team discovered DynamicMore while browsing new file submissions to the VirusTotal platform. Upon examination, we learned that this application is adware belonging to the AdLoad malware family. DynamicMore runs intrusive advertisement campaigns, and it may possess other harmful capabilities.
DynamicMore adware overview
Adware stands for advertising-supported software. It operates by delivering intrusive advert campaigns – this typically entails placing third-party graphical content (e.g., overlays, coupons, banners, pop-ups, surveys, etc.) on various interfaces.
These advertisements can promote online scams, untrustworthy/dangerous software, and even malware. When clicked on, some of the ads can execute scripts to perform sneaky downloads/installations.
It must be mentioned that while legitimate products or services may be encountered via these adverts – they are unlikely to be endorsed in this fashion by any official parties. It is most probable that this endorsement is undertaken by scammers motivated to obtain illegitimate commissions by abusing the promoted content's affiliate programs.
Advertising-supported software may need specific conditions to function as intended (e.g., compatible browser/system, visits to particular websites, etc.). Regardless of whether DynamicMore displays ads – it threatens device/user safety.
AdLoad apps commonly have browser-hijacking capabilities – however, the DynamicMore application did not exhibit these traits during our analysis.
Adware usually gathers private information, and DynamicMore might have such data-tracking functionalities as well. Targeted data may include: visited URLs, viewed pages, searched queries, browser cookies, usernames/passwords, personally identifiable details, credit card numbers, etc. This vulnerable information can be shared with or sold to third-parties.
To summarize, software like DynamicMore may cause system infections, serious privacy issues, financial losses, and identity theft.

Adware examples
We have written about countless adware-type apps; PartitionControl, UpgradeConnection, ParameterNetwork, and FunctionGuide are merely a few of our newest articles.
Software within this category usually appears legitimate and offers "handy" functionalities. However, these functions are rarely operational since their sole purpose is to serve as bait to trick users into downloading/installing the adware.
Keep in mind that even if an application or a browser extension works exactly as indicated by its promotional material – that alone does not guarantee legitimacy or safety.
How did DynamicMore install on my computer?
Adware can be bundled with regular programs. The risk of inadvertently allowing bundled content into the device is increased by downloading from dubious channels (e.g., freeware and free file-hosting websites, Peer-to-Peer sharing networks, etc.) and by treating installation processes with negligence (e.g., ignoring terms, skipping steps, using "Quick/Easy" settings, etc.).
Some intrusive adverts can be triggered (i.e., by being clicked) to execute scripts that perform downloads/installations without user permission. These advertisements are also used to proliferate adware.
Additionally, advertising-supported software is promoted on legitimate-looking download webpages and scam sites. Most users enter these pages via redirects caused by websites utilizing rogue advertising networks, spam browser notifications, misspelled URLs, intrusive ads, and installed adware (with the ability to force-open webpages).
How to avoid installation of adware?
We highly recommend researching software and downloading it only from official/trustworthy sources. When installing, it is important to read terms, inspect available options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings, and opt out of all additions (e.g., apps, extensions, features, etc.).
Fraudulent and malicious online content typically appears legitimate and innocuous – therefore, we advise vigilance while browsing. For example, despite their harmless appearance – intrusive advertisements redirect to questionable and unreliable sites (e.g., scam-promoting, adult dating, pornography, gambling, etc.).
In case of continuous encounters with adverts/redirects of this kind, inspect the device and immediately remove all suspicious applications and browser extensions/plug-ins. If your computer is already infected with DynamicMore, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for macOS to automatically eliminate this adware.
