How to uninstall DynamicImprovment adware
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is DynamicImprovment?
Like many other adware-type apps, DynamicImprovment serves various advertisements. Additionally, it gathers sensitive information and promotes the address of a fake search engine. Therefore, this app functions both as adware and a browser hijacker.
Apps such as DynamicImprovment are categorized as potentially unwanted applications (PUAs), since users often download and install them inadvertently.
Commonly, adware-type software such as DynamicImprovment serves advertisements that, if clicked, open dubious websites or even cause download/installation of other PUAs by executing certain scripts. Examples of advertisements that adware serves are coupons, pop-ups, surveys, and banners.
Furthermore, DynamicImprovment can read information such as passwords, credit card details, telephone numbers and other, sensitive data. This information could be misused to make fraudulent purchases and transactions, access personal accounts, steal identities, etc.
Furthermore, it could be sold to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals). Additionally, DynamicImprovment promotes the address of a fake search engine by modifying browser settings.
Typically, this is done by assigning the bogus address as the homepage, default search engine and new tab URL, so that users are forced to visit this site when they open a browser, new tab, or enter search queries into the URL bar. The settings cannot usually be modified, until the browser hijacker is uninstalled from the browser and operating system.
Therefore, apps such as DynamicImprovment should never be downloaded or installed.

More examples of software that is categorized as adware are ElementaryMethod, WebFunctionSearch and DefaultProgress.
Usually, it is advertised as useful software, which supposedly improves the browsing experience, includes various features, etc, however, most adware is designed only to generate revenue for the developers - the software is useless to regular users and can cause serious issues. If such apps are already installed, remove them immediately.
How did DynamicImprovment install on my computer?
Some advertisements cause download/installation of unwanted applications by executing certain scripts if they are clicked. Users mostly download and install PUAs with other software when PUAs are included into the set-ups as 'additional offers'.
These offers can usually be declined in "Custom", "Advanced" or other settings, however, many users fail to check and change them. By leaving default settings unchanged, they give PUAs permission to be downloaded and installed. This PUA distribution method is called "bundling".
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Software should be downloaded from official, trustworthy websites (and via direct links). Do not download or install via various third party downloaders, installers, Peer to-Peer networks (torrent clients, eMule), dubious websites, etc. Check "Advanced" and "Custom" settings, and decline offers to install unwanted, additionally-included applications.
Do not click advertisements that appear on untrusted websites, since they can open other pages of this kind, or even cause download/installation of unwanted apps. Remove any unwanted, suspicious extensions, plug-ins and add-ons that are installed on the browser.
The same applies to programs of this kind that are installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with DynamicImprovment, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for macOS to automatically eliminate this adware.
