How to remove apps designed to promote admnsrv.com and similar sites
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is admnsrv[.]com?
When visited, admnsrv[.]com opens other untrusted websites or loads dubious content. There are many similar websites - some examples are promosrewards[.]club, 7mono[.]biz and hopsigna[.]com.
Typically, users do not visit websites of this type intentionally - they are opened by installed potentially unwanted applications (PUAs), deceptive advertisements, or other dubious web pages.
PUAs force browsers to open rogue pages such as admnsrv[.]com in new windows or tabs. Once visited, these pages load dubious content or open about two or three other untrusted sites. This depends on the visitor's geolocation. Like most pages of this type, admnsrv[.]com uses a 'clickbait' technique to trick visitors into allowing it to show notifications.
It states that visitors can continue browsing the site by clicking the "Allow" button. If clicked, this gives admnsrv[.]com permission to show notifications. In most cases, websites such as admnsrv[.]com display notifications that contain deceptive advertisements, links to untrusted pages, etc.
For this reason, never allow notifications on these sites. Furthermore, PUAs can feed users with coupons, surveys, banners, pop-ups, and other ads. When clicked, these open untrusted pages or even execute scripts designed to download and install unwanted, potentially malicious software.
Additionally, PUAs can track information. Commonly, they target details such as IP addresses, geolocations, addresses of visited pages, entered search queries, and other browsing-related information, however, in some cases, they can be designed to collect sensitive, personal details.
The information could be misused to generate revenue. For example, it could be sold to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals). Therefore, installation of these apps can result in problems relating to privacy/browsing safety, and users might even become victims of identity theft.

PUAs are often advertised as including various features, improving the browsing experience, or are useful in other ways, however, most promote dubious websites, serve advertisements and collect data. They are useless to regular users and can cause serious issues.
If PUAs are already installed on the browser and/or operating system, you are advised to uninstall them immediately.
How did adware install on my computer?
Commonly, PUAs are distributed by including them into the download/installation set-ups of other programs. This distribution method is called "bundling". They are included as 'additional offers', which can be declined in "Manual", "Advanced", "Custom", and other settings of the set-ups.
Many users download and install their programs without checking and changing the settings, thereby agreeing with offers to download or install included PUAs. In some cases, unwanted downloads and installations are caused by clicking deceptive advertisements that execute certain scripts.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
Check all "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar settings, and decline offers to download or install unwanted apps before completing the process. Third party downloaders/installers, Peer-to-Peer networks (e.g., torrent clients, eMule), dubious, unofficial pages and other such tools/channels are often used to promote dubious software.
Therefore, download software and files only from official websites, and use direct links. Intrusive advertisements that appear on untrusted pages should not be clicked, since they can open other untrusted, potentially malicious pages or cause unwanted downloads and installations.
Remove any suspicious, unwanted/unknown extensions, plug-ins, and add-ons that are installed on the browser. Also remove software of this kind that is installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
