Remove apps designed to promote mop-news2.club and other websites

What is mop-news2[.]club?
mop-news2[.]club is one of many rogue websites (including click-to-watch[.]live, bestdealfor21[.]life, cvazirouse[.]com, etc.) that promote other untrusted web pages or load dubious content.
Typically, users do not visit these sites intentionally - they are opened by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) installed on browsers and/or computers. PUAs also serve advertisements and collect specific data.
Installed PUAs open addresses such as mop-news2[.]club is new windows or tabs. When visited, these sites open more (about 2-3) dubious pages or load bogus content - this depends on visitors' geolocations. Note that mop-news2[.]club attempts to deceive visitors into giving permission to show notifications using a 'clickbait' technique.
It suggests that if visitors click the "Allow", they will be able to play a video. In fact, doing simply allows mop-news2[.]club to show notifications. In most cases, notifications from these sites contain various deceptive ads, links to other dubious pages, etc. As mentioned, PUAs can also collect data.
They usually target IP addresses, entered search queries, geolocations, addresses of visited websites, and other browsing-related information. They might also record personal, sensitive data as well. The developers misuse the data to generate revenue by selling it to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals), or in other ways.
This can cause problems relating to privacy and browsing safety or, even worse, users might have their identities stolen. PUAs often serve ads in the form of coupons, pop-ups, surveys, banners and others. These can be designed to open dubious, potentially malicious pages or execute scripts designed to download and install PUAs.
Therefore, uninstall all PUAs from the operating system and browser immediately.

It is not safe to have potentially unwanted applications installed on browsers or operating systems. Note that they are often advertised as legitimate and useful tools, however, they are useless and designed only to help the developers to generate revenue.
How did adware install on my computer?
One of the most common ways to distribute PUAs is to include them into the download/installation set-ups of other programs as 'additional offers'. This distribution method is known as "bundling". In most cases, offers to download or install extra software are mentioned in "Advanced", "Custom" or other settings of set-ups.
Many users fail to check and change these settings, thereby allowing additionally-included apps to be downloaded and installed. Unwanted downloads and installations also happen when users click dubious, deceptive advertisements that execute certain scripts.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
Avoid Peer-to-Peer networks (e.g., torrent clients, eMule), third party downloaders, installers, unofficial pages, etc, since they are often used to distribute unwanted (potentially malicious) software. The only safe and proper way to download files and programs is by official websites and direct links.
Check all settings such as "Custom" and "Advanced" and decline offers to download or install additional, unwanted software. Do not click ads that are displayed on dubious web pages, since they can open dubious websites or cause unwanted downloads/installations.
Remove any unwanted extensions, plug-ins and add-ons already installed on the browser, and programs of this kind installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
