How to uninstall InnovativeShare adware
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is InnovativeShare?
The InnovativeShare application is supposedly designed to improve the browsing experience, however, it is categorized as adware and displays intrusive advertisements. These apps often gather information. Generally, users download and install adware unintentionally.
Therefore, InnovativeShare and other, similar apps are classified as potentially unwanted applications (PUAs).
Adware-type applications usually serve advertisements in the form of banners, coupons, surveys, pop-ups, etc. These often conceal content of visited pages and, if clicked, open untrusted pages or cause download/installations of unwanted apps by executing certain scripts.
Adware often gathers information relating to users' browsing habits. For example, addresses of visited pages, entered search queries, IP addresses, geolocations, and other browsing data. This particular app can read sensitive information from websites such as passwords, telephone numbers, and credit card details.
It is possible that InnovativeShare's developers will sell the information to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue in other ways.
Therefore, users of InnovativeShare might suffer financial loss, become victims of identity theft, and experience problems relating to browsing safety and online privacy. Therefore, never download or install this, or other, PUAs.

More examples of adware are TotalSearch, WebScheduler and CrowdExclusive. In most cases, these applications feed users with advertisements and track information. Adware-type apps deliver no real features, or other value, and can be the reason behind serious problems.
Therefore, remove InnovativeShare and other adware from the browser and operating system immediately.
How did InnovativeShare install on my computer?
Developers often include adware and other PUAs into the download/installation set-ups of other software. Offers to download/install potentially unwanted apps are listed in "Advanced", "Custom" and other similar settings.
Many users fail to check and and change these settings - leaving the default settings unchanged then allows various PUAs to be downloaded and installed together with other, regular software.
This PUA distribution method is known as "bundling". Additionally, PUAs are often downloaded and installed through deceptive ads that run certain scripts, however, this happens only by clicking the ads.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
Software and files should be downloaded from official websites, and via direct links. Tools and sources such as third party downloaders/installers, Peer-to-Peer networks (e.g., torrent clients, eMule), dubious, unofficial websites, etc., are used to distribute PUAs and, in some cases, even malicious programs.
Therefore, it is not safe to download or install software through them. Note that download/installation set-ups often contain settings such as "Custom", "Advanced" settings that mention offers to download and install potentially unwanted applications. Check these settings and dismiss offers to download or install unwanted software.
Do not click advertisements that appear on dubious websites (e.g., on those relating to pornography, adult dating, gambling) - they can open various untrusted, potentially malicious websites or download and install unwanted apps. Remove any unwanted, suspicious apps (extensions, plug-ins or add-ons) that are installed on the browser.
The same should be applied to software of this kind that is installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with InnovativeShare, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for macOS to automatically eliminate this adware.
