How to stop redirects to and from creasonsau.info

What is creasonsau[.]info?
Sharing considerable similarities with wbamedia.net, sawhitpew.site, zahkit.pro and countless others, creasonsau[.]info is a rogue website, which operates by presenting visitors with dubious content and/or redirecting them to other untrusted or malicious sites.
In most cases, web pages such as creasonsau[.]info are accessed through redirects generated by intrusive advertisements and/or Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs) already installed on the device.
These apps can infiltrate systems without users' consent and, following successful installation, cause redirects, deliver intrusive ads and track data relating to browsing activity.
When opened, creasonsau[.]info first checks visitors' IP addresses to learn their geolocations. Whether users are redirected elsewhere or presented with dubious material is dependent on their geolocations.
Furthermore, this site uses browser notifications to trick people via clickbait - it implies that allowing the notifications will enable them to access movie and TV streaming services, catalogues and similar content. If the "allow" button is clicked, however, creasonsau[.]info starts running intrusive ad campaigns (in direct contradiction ot the "no ads" statement on the website).
Furthermore, ads of this kind are a nuisance and a potential threat to device/user safety. They diminish the browsing experience by limiting browsing speed and web page visibility. When clicked, they redirect to untrusted, rogue, sale-based, deceptive/scam and malicious sites.
Intrusive advertisements can also execute scripts, designed to stealthily download/install unwanted content (e.g. PUAs). As mentioned, unwanted applications force-open similarly dangerous pages and deliver intrusive ad campaigns. PUAs commonly have data tracking capabilities.
They can record users' browsing habits (URLs visited, web pages viewed, search queries typed, etc.) and gather their personal information (IP addresses, geolocations and other details). This private data can then be shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) intent on misusing it for financial gain.
PUAs can cause browser and system infiltration/infections, lead to serious privacy issues, financial loss and identity theft. Therefore, you are advised to remove all suspicious applications and browser extensions/plug-ins without delay.

PUAs often seem legitimate and entice users into downloading/installing them with a wide variety of "useful" features, however, these functions are rarely operational and, in most cases, they do not work at all. The only purpose of unwanted apps is to generate profit for the developers, whilst regular users receive no genuine value.
PUAs cause redirects to untrusted and malicious web pages, run intrusive ad campaigns and track sensitive data.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs can be downloaded/installed with other programs. This deceptive marketing technique of pre-packing regular products with unwanted or malicious software is called "bundling".
Rushing download/installation processes (e.g. ignoring terms, using presets, skipping steps and sections, etc.) increases the risk of unintentionally allowing bundled content onto the system.
Select apps within this category have "official" download websites. Intrusive ads proliferate PUAs as well - once clicked they can execute scripts to download/install PUAs without users' permission.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
You are advised to research all software to verify its legitimacy, before download/installation. All downloads should be performed from official and verified sources. Untrustworthy sources such as Peer-to-Peer sharing networks (BitTorrent, Gnutella, eMule, etc.), free file-hosting sites and other third party downloaders can offer deceptive and/or bundled content.
When downloading/installing, read the terms, study all available options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings and opt-out of supplementary apps, tools, features and so on. Intrusive advertisements tend to seem normal and harmless, however, they redirect to dubious web pages (e.g. gambling, adult-dating, pornography and others).
If you experience these ads/redirects, inspect the device and immediately remove all dubious applications and/or browsing extensions/plug-ins. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
