Avoid using mp3pro.xyz and being redirected to harmful websites

What is mp3pro[.]xyz?
mp3pro[.]xyz is an untrustworthy website presented as a YouTube video to MP3 converter. Its conversion services infringe copyright laws, however, it might also use rogue advertising networks, which is common to pages of this type. Visitors to mp3pro[.]xyz might find that they are redirected to various other dubious or dangerous sites.
You are strongly advised against visiting/using mp3pro[.]xyz or other similar sites.
Web pages that employ rogue advertising networks can cause redirects to sale-based, untrustworthy/rogue, deceptive/scam and even malicious websites. Content promoted through the aforementioned sites is often dubious and malicious. Furthermore, mp3pro[.]xyz asks visitors to enable browser notifications.
If they are enabled, the site can begin running intrusive advertisement campaigns. The resultant ads diminish the browsing experience, but are more than just a nuisance, they are also a threat to device health.
This is due to the harmful pages to which they redirect and for their ability to execute scripts designed to stealthily download/install Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs). Apps within the this classification can force-open likewise hazardous sites and deliver intrusive ads (pop-ups, banners, surveys, coupons, etc.).
Other PUAs can modify browsers and limit/deny access to settings to promote fake search engines. While unwanted applications can infiltrate systems without users' consent, they can also be advertised as "legitimate" and "useful" software, thereby urging users into downloading/installing them.
PUAs commonly have data tracking capabilities, regardless of their type. They can monitor users' browsing habits (browsing and search engine histories) and collect their personal information (IP addresses, geolocations and other details).
Therefore, PUAs can cause various browser/system infiltration and infections and lead to serious privacy issues, financial loss and even identity theft. To ensure device integrity and user safety, you are advised to remove all suspicious applications and/or browser extensions/plug-ins immediately upon detection.

savemp3.cc, youtubedownload.video, and youtubemp3.today are examples of other websites similar to mp3pro[.]xyz. They tend to host ads that redirect to dubious and/or malicious web pages. In some cases, redirects occur immediately the web page is opened. If browsers force-open dubious sites, the presence of PUAs on the device is a likely cause.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs primarily proliferate via download/installation set-ups of other programs. "Bundling" is the term used to describe this deceptive marketing tactic of packing regular software with unwanted or malicious content.
By rushing though download/installation processes (e.g. ignoring terms, skipping steps and sections, using pre-set options, etc.) users risk unintentionally allowing bundled applications onto devices. Some PUAs have "official" download pages from which they can typically be downloaded "free".
When clicked, intrusive advertisements can be triggered to execute scripts to download/install PUAs without users' permission.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
You are strongly advised to research all products to verify their legitimacy, before downloading/installing. Use only official and verified download channels. Untrustworthy download sources, such as unofficial and free file-hosting websites, P2P sharing networks (BitTorrent, eMule, Gnutella, etc.) and other third party downloaders can offer deceptive and/or bundled content.
Treat download and installation processes with caution. Read the terms, explore all possible options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings and decline download/installation of supplementary apps, tools, features and so on.
Intrusive ads often seem legitimate and innocuous, however, once clicked they can redirect users to dubious web pages (gambling, pornography, adult-dating and others). If you encounter advertisements/redirects of this kind, check the system and immediately remove all suspect applications and/or browser extensions/plug-ins.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
