What is pushpush[.]net?
pushpush[.]net is a rogue site, similar to glagolinius.com, androidrecaptcha.info, tatilyerlerim.com, secretvideos2020.com and many others. It operates by presenting visitors with dubious content and generating redirects to other untrustworthy, even malicious web pages.
Visitors to pushpush[.]net usually access it inadvertently. They are redirected by intrusive advertisements or Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs). Following successful installation, these apps cause redirects, deliver intrusive ads and monitor/gather browsing-related information.
pushpush[.]net first checks visitors' IP (Internet Protocol) addresses to learn their geolocations. Once this information is obtained, according to their geolocations, users are presented with dubious material and/or are redirected elsewhere.
Additionally, this website employs browser notifications, the consent option to which it hides within 'clickbait' ("CLICK HERE! To start streaming your video"). It is implied that visitors must allow notifications to view the site's content. If users are tricked into doing so, pushpush[.]net then begins running intrusive ad campaigns.
Advertisements of this kind are more than just a nuisance, they significantly diminish the browsing experience. They limit browsing speed and overlay web pages, however, these ads are also a threat to device/user safety.
When clicked, they redirect to sale-oriented, untrustworthy, deceptive/scam and malicious websites, some can execute scripts to stealthily download/install PUAs. As mentioned, unwanted applications generate redirects to likewise hazardous web pages and they can run intrusive advertisement campaigns.
Most PUAs possess data tracking capabilities as well. They monitor various browsing-related data. Information of interest includes IP addresses, geolocations, URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries typed and other details. This sensitive data can then be shared with third parties (often, cyber criminals) intent on misusing it for financial gain.
To summarize, PUAs can lead to browser and system infiltration/infections, financial loss, serious privacy issues and even identity theft. Therefore, remove all suspect applications and browser extensions/plug-ins immediately upon detection.

PUAs often seem legitimate and tempt users into downloading/installing them with offers of "useful" features. The features rarely work as promised and, in most cases, are nonoperational. The sole purpose of all unwanted content is to generate revenue for its developers, whilst regular users receive no value.
PUAs force-open untrustworthy/malicious web pages, run intrusive ad campaigns and track vulnerable data.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs are often downloaded/installed together with other software. The term "bundling" is used to describe this deceptive marketing method of pre-packing regular programs with unwanted or malicious content.
By rushing download/installation processes (e.g. ignoring terms, skipping steps and sections, etc.), many users endanger devices with potential infiltration and infections. Some of these apps have "official" download sites. When clicked, intrusive ads can execute scripts designed to download/install PUAs without users' permission.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
Research all content, prior to downloading/installing. Use only trustworthy and verified download sources. Do not use P2P sharing networks (BitTorrent, eMule, Gnutella, etc.), unofficial and free file-hosting websites, third party downloaders and similar channels, as they are classed as untrustworthy.
Untrusted download sources are far more likely to offer deceptive and/or bundled software. When downloading/installing, read the terms, study all possible options, use the "Custom/Advanced" settings and opt-out of supplementary apps, tools, features and so on.
Intrusive ads often seem legitimate and harmless, however, they can cause redirects to highly dubious pages (e.g, gambling, pornography, adult-dating and others).
If you experience these advertisements/redirects, inspect the system and remove all suspicious applications and/or browser extensions/plug-ins. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
