What is carbamylife[.]info?
carbamylife[.]info functions like many other websites of this type including, for example, track.nuxues[.]com, talkreply[.]com, and news-jupiter[.]com.
These websites present dubious content or redirect visitors to a number of other untrustworthy web pages. In most cases, people are forced to visit these websites due to potentially unwanted apps (PUAs) installed on their systems and/or browsers. Additionally, PUAs display unwanted, intrusive ads and collect details relating to browsing activity.
At first, carbamylife[.]info checks the visitor's IP address. Depending on this, it then opens a number (2-3) of untrustworthy, potentially malicious websites or shows dubious content. Sites such as carbamylife[.]info often lead to other deceptive websites used to advertise dubious apps.
Neither carbamylife[.]info nor websites opened through it can be trusted. Furthermore, carbamylife[.]info can trick people into allowing display of notifications. In this example, carbamylife[.]info asks visitors to confirm that they are over 18 years old by clicking the "Allow" button.
This gives carbamylife[.]info permission to show notifications. In other cases, these websites ask visitors to verify that they are humans or use other 'clickbait' techniques.
In any case, do not allow untrustworthy web pages to show any notifications. PUAs that open these sites usually record user information such as IP addresses, entered search queries, addresses of opened web pages, geolocations, and so on. Developers send the data to other parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue.
In some cases, PUAs are used to collect personal details. Additionally, PUAs often display advertisements. If clicked, these open dubious websites or even run scripts that download/install other PUAs. Examples of these ads are coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, etc. Therefore, remove all PUAs immediately.

Symptoms | Seeing advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. Intrusive pop-up ads. Decreased internet browsing speed. |
Distribution Methods | Deceptive pop-up ads, potentially unwanted applications (adware). |
Damage | Decreased computer performance, browser tracking - privacy issues, possible additional malware infections. |
Malware Removal (Windows) | To eliminate possible malware infections, scan your computer with legitimate antivirus software. Our security researchers recommend using Combo Cleaner. |
People often download and install PUAs intentionally when developers present them as useful and legitimate apps. In fact, these apps do not operate as advertised - on the contrary, they perform actions that cause problems relating to browsing safety, online privacy, or even identity theft. We strongly recommend that you uninstall all installed PUAs immediately.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs are usually installed through intrusive ads displayed on dubious sites, or when software developers include them into the set-ups of other programs. Distribution of PUAs through set-ups is known as "bundling". This is a deceptive marketing method that developers use to trick people into downloading/installing potentially unwanted apps with regular software.
They often succeed simply by hiding information about additional apps in "Custom", "Advanced", and other similar parts of the download or installation set-ups. Furthermore, many people fail to check the settings and leave them unchanged, thereby inadvertently allowing PUAs to be downloaded and installed with other, regular programs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
To avoid unwanted, additional downloads/installations, download software from official websites. Other sources such as third party software downloaders/installers, torrent clients, eMule or other Peer-to-Peer networks, dubious websites, etc., are often used to distribute unwanted applications/programs.
Check download/installation options such as "Custom, "Advanced", and decline offers to download or install additional software. Do not click intrusive ads, especially on dubious sites. These can redirect to untrustworthy websites or even download/install PUAs. If the browser causes these redirects or shows intrusive ads on any website, check the list of apps installed.
Remove any unwanted extensions, plug-ins, and add-ons immediately. The same applies to programs of this kind installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
