Newschanel.biz Ads

What is newschanel[.]biz?
When opened, the newschanel[.]biz website redirects visitors to other untrustworthy sites or displays deceptive, dubious content. Its operation is similar to many other websites of this type including, for example, allneed[.]pro, feedmedia[.]me, and tontorcaltedron[.]info.
Most people do not open these websites intentionally - they are redirected to them by potentially unwanted apps (PUAs) installed on their browsers or operating systems. PUAs also record information relating to users' browsing habits and display intrusive advertisements.
When this PUA installed is installed, it regularly opens the newschanel[.]biz rogue website in a new browser window or tab. This web page then opens other dubious websites (about two or three ) or displays dubious content. The actions performed by newschanel[.]biz depend on the visitor's geolocation.
Furthermore, PUAs display unwanted (intrusive) advertisements such as banners, coupons, pop-ups, and so on. Generally, they display ads via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. Therefore, ads conceal underlying content of opened websites.
If clicked, these ads can open untrustworthy or even malicious websites and some execute scripts that download and install potentially unwanted programs, which can be malicious.
PUAs also record information such as IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, URLs of visited websites, entered search queries, geolocations and other data that might include personal/sensitive information.
PUA developers send collected information to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue. These actions can lead to issues with online privacy, browsing safety, or even identity theft.

Most PUAs are virtually identical. Developers employ them to generate revenue by collecting information, delivering intrusive ads, and causing unwanted redirects. Few of these apps provide users with the functionality promised or deliver any other real value. We recommend that you uninstall all PUAs immediately.
How did adware install on my computer?
In some cases, potentially unwanted can be downloaded from websites that their developers use to promote them, however, people generally download and install these applications inadvertently.
PUAs are distributed through intrusive ads that are capable of executing scripts designed to cause unwanted downloads/installations, or when software developers promote them using the "bundling" method. Bundling is a deceptive marketing method used to trick people into installing PUAs together with other software.
Developers hide information regarding the bundling of apps in "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar sections of download/installation set-ups. If these settings are not changed during the download/installation process, PUAs are granted permission by default to be downloaded/installed with other, regular software.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Download all programs and files from official, trustworthy websites. Avoid using third party downloaders (or installers), and torrent clients, eMule (other Peer-to-Peer networks), and so on. Check all available "Advanced", "Custom" and other sections/settings of software download/installation setups.
Dismiss all additionally-included apps, suggestions to change browser settings, and so on. Note that intrusive ads (especially if displayed on dubious pages) cannot be trusted. Do not click them, since they often redirect to untrustworthy websites, some of which could be malicious.
If redirects happen randomly or ads appear regularly, check for new plug-ins, add-ons, and extensions installed on your browser. Remove all unwanted, suspicious entries immediately. This also applies to unwanted programs installed on the operating system.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
