Ninghimpartidi.info POP-UP Redirect

Also Known As: ninghimpartidi.info pop-up
Type: Adware
Damage level: Medium

What is ninghimpartidi[.]info?

When opened, ninghimpartidi[.]info displays dubious content or causes redirects to other untrustworthy websites. This site is very similar to many others of this type including arberittertwa[.]info, butitereventwil[.]info, and refrebrepheon[.]info.

Generally, people do not open ninghimpartidi[.]info intentionally - they are redirected to it by installed potentially unwanted applications (PUAs). In most cases, users install PUAs unintentionally. In addition to causing unwanted redirects, these rogue apps often display intrusive advertisements and gather information relating to users' browsing habits.

ninghimpartidi[.]info pop-up redirects

When installed, a PUA opens a specific website (in this case, ninghimpartidi[.]info) in a new browser window or tab. The ninghimpartidi[.]info site (or another of this kind) then causes additional (about 2-3) redirects to other dubious sites or displays untrustworthy content.

These actions depend on the visitor's geolocation. Note that some of these additionally opened websites could be malicious. Furthermore, many PUAs deliver coupons, banners, pop-up ads, surveys, and so on.

Typically, they conceal underlying content of visited websites and, if clicked, cause redirects to deceptive, untrustworthy websites or run scripts that download and install other unwanted apps. Furthermore, these apps collect browsing-related, and sometimes personal, data.

For example, IP addresses, geolocations, entered search queries, URLs of visited websites, etc. PUAs developers share the information with other parties, potentially, cyber criminals. These third parties misuse the details to generate revenue.

If installed, PUAs lead to problems relating to privacy, browsing safety, or even identity theft. They do not function as the developers describe. Typically, their only purpose is to generate revenue for the developers (and other parties) by opening dubious websites, feeding users with ads, and recording data.

How did adware install on my computer?

PUAs are often installed when they are bundled with setups of other software. I.e. installed with other software that is downloaded and installed intentionally. PUAs are often hidden in "Advanced", "Custom" and other similar parts of software set-ups.

This method is called "bundling". Developers use this technique to trick people into downloading and installing PUAs unintentionally, change browser settings, and so on. It is also possible that these unwanted downloads and installation happen after clicking intrusive, deceptive advertisements.

How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?

Avoid downloading software from untrustworthy websites, using third party downloaders, torrent clients, eMule (and other Peer-to-Peer networks), unofficial web pages, and other channels of this type. Download software from official websites and using direct links.

Additionally, check "Advanced", "Custom", "Manual" and other similar options of software set-ups, especially it the software is free. Dismiss proposals to download or install unwanted apps and only then finish the setup. Avoid clicking intrusive advertisements, especially if they are displayed on unofficial, dubious pages.

These usually cause redirects to other untrustworthy sites such as gambling, pornography, adult dating, and so on. If you experience these redirects and intrusive ads regularly, check your browser for any unwanted extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins and uninstall them immediately. Also check the list of installed programs on the operating system.

If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
