What is myweathercenter.co?
myweathercenter.co (also known as feed.hmyweathercenter.co) is a fake search engine that is presented as legitimate. Developers promote the site as useful, offering various features, enhancing the browsing experience, and so on. Unfortunately, it is promoted using two browser hijackers: My Weather Center and Weather Tracker.
Typically, people install these apps unintentionally and they are categorized as potentially unwanted applications (PUAs). Note that My Weather Center and Weather Tracker modify browser settings and collect information relating to users' browsing habits.
Generally, PUAs can be can be installed on browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer. When My Weather Center or Weather Tracker is installed, the default search engine, homepage, and new tab URL are assigned to myweathercenter.co and this prevents users from reverting the changes (they are reassigned when attempts are made to change them).
Therefore, people with these PUAs installed on their systems are forced to visit this website when they open a browser, new tab, or enter a search query into the URL bar. Additionally, browser hijackers and fake search engines continually collect user-information such as IP addresses, geo-locations, URLs of visited websites, entered search queries, and other similar (browsing-related) details.
Developers share the data with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue. Some of the collected/shared data might also contain personal details. Therefore, uninstall all PUAs and avoid using dubious, fake search engines.

How did My Weather Center install on my computer?
My Weather Center and Weather Tracker are available to download on websites that developers use to promote them, however, people usually download and install PUAs unintentionally through intrusive advertisements or when developers use the "bundling" method.
In summary, "bundling" is used to trick people into downloading/installing unwanted apps with software that they with to download or install intentionally.
To achieve this, developers hide these apps in "Custom", "Advanced" (and other similar) settings of software download/installation set-ups, however, they succeed only when people install or download software without deselecting/dismissing them. This happens when they download or install software and fail to pay enough attention to the setup details.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Do not to use dubious software download sources such as third party downloaders/installers, Peer-to-Peer networks (torrent clients, eMule, and other such tools), unofficial websites, etc. The safest way to download software is using official and trustworthy sources. Check "Custom"/"Advanced" settings first and dismiss offers to download or install any unwanted apps.
Only then finish the procedure. Furthermore, avoid clicking untrustworthy (intrusive) ads, especially on dubious websites. Many of these redirect to dubious websites (gambling, pornography, adult dating, etc).
If you experience ads or redirects to untrustworthy websites, check your browser for unknown/unwanted extensions, plug-ins, and add-ons and remove all unknown or suspicious entries. The same applies to programs installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with My Weather Center, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this browser hijacker.
