Click.newsfeed.support POP-UP Redirect

What is click.newsfeed.support?
click.newsfeed.support is a deceptive website identical to 366security.site, ukliminimate.club, idisplayboxkude.club, and many others. It redirects users to other dubious sites and displays various content.
Research shows that many visitors arrive at this site inadvertently - they are redirected by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) and/or intrusive advertisements delivered by other rogue sites. In most cases, these unwanted apps infiltrate computers without users’ permission.
As well as causing redirects, they deliver intrusive advertisements and gather information relating to browsing activity.
After successful system infiltration, potentially unwanted applications start opening new browser tabs/windows and redirect users to click.newsfeed.support, which then causes several (typically 2 or 3) additional redirects or displays certain content (depending on the user's location). As a result, users might end up visiting sites that contain malicious content.
Therefore, redirects to and from click.newsfeed.support can lead to system infections. As mentioned, PUAs also deliver intrusive advertisements. These might also redirect to malicious websites or even run scripts that download/install malware. Therefore, even a single accidental click can result in high-risk computer infections.
Intrusive ads are delivered using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site, thereby concealing underlying content and significantly diminishing the browsing experience. Potentially unwanted applications are also notorious for information tracking.
They typically record queries entered into search engines, websites visited, pages viewed, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, and other similar details relating to browsing activity. Furthermore, the data usually includes personal information that is shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals).
These people generate revenue by misusing private information. Thus, data tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. You are strongly advised to eliminate all dubious applications and browser plug-ins immediately.

Threat Type | Adware, Unwanted ads, Pop-up Virus |
Symptoms | Seeing advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. Intrusive pop-up ads. Decreased Internet browsing speed. |
Distribution methods | Deceptive pop-up ads, free software installers (bundling), fake flash player installers. |

Malware Removal (Windows) | To eliminate possible malware infections, scan your computer with legitimate antivirus software. Our security researchers recommend using Combo Cleaner. |
The internet is full of potentially unwanted applications, all of which are virtually identical. By offering many "useful features", PUAs attempt to give the impression of legitimacy and trick users to install. Few of these apps provide the functions promised and they have just one purpose: to generate revenue for the developers.
Rather than giving any significant value for regular users, PUAs cause unwanted redirects, deliver advertisements, and record user-system information, thereby diminishing the browsing experience and posing a direct threat to your privacy and browsing safety.
How did adware install on my computer?
Some unwanted apps have official download/promotion websites. In most cases, however, they infiltrate systems without users' consent, since developers promote them using "bundling" and intrusive advertising methods. "Bundling" is essentially stealth installation of third party applications together with regular software/apps.
Developers hide "bundled" apps within "Custom/Advanced" settings (or other sections) of the download/installation processes. Furthermore, many users rush these procedures and skip steps. In addition, they click advertisements without understanding the possible consequences.
This behavior often leads to inadvertent installation of unwanted apps - users expose their systems to risk of various infections and compromise their privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Lack of knowledge and careless behavior are the main reasons for computer infections. The key to safety is caution. Therefore, pay attention when browsing the internet and downloading/installing software. Carefully analyze each step of the download/installation processes and opt-out of all additionally-included programs.
Avoid using third party downloaders/installers, since most are monetized using the "bundling" method (they promote PUAs). Download software from official sources only, using direct download links. Bear in mind that intrusive ads usually seem legitimate, but most redirect to dubious websites, such as gambling, adult dating, pornography, surveys, and so on.
If you experience these ads/redirects, immediately remove all dubious applications and browser plug-ins. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
