1fuzz.com POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is 1fuzz.com?
As with most rogue websites of this type (examples include ukliminimate.club, idisplayboxkude.club, barbitinnovans.info, and many more), 1fuzz.com leads to other dubious websites. Typically, visitors do not arrive at this website intentionally - they are redirected by intrusive ads displayed on other rogue sites or by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs).
Generally, these apps are installed without users' knowledge and go on to deliver intrusive advertisements and gather data relating to browsing habits.
Following infiltration, these unwanted apps open new tabs/windows on affected browsers and redirect to 1fuzz.com. Depending on the user's location, this rogue website displays certain content or causes redirects to other (about 2-3) dubious websites, some of which might contain malicious content.
Therefore, redirects to and from 1fuzz.com increase the possibility of computer infection. PUAs also deliver coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, and other intrusive ads that are usually displayed via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. In this way, they conceal underlying content of visited websites, affecting the overall browsing experience.
Furthermore, if clicked, they often redirect users to deceptive/untrustworthy websites. Some can run scripts that download/install even more unwanted apps. Another disadvantage of having this type of PUA installed is information tracking.
PUAs often collect browsing-related data (IP addresses, search queries, URLs of visited websites, geo-locations, etc.) and share it with third parties who misuse private information to generate revenue.
These third parties might include cyber criminals. Information tracking and sharing can thus lead to issues relating to online privacy, browsing safety, or even identity theft. For these reasons, we recommend that you eliminate all potentially unwanted applications immediately.
Name | 1fuzz.com pop-up |
Threat Type | Adware, Unwanted ads, Pop-up Virus |
Symptoms | Seeing advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. Intrusive pop-up ads. Decreased Internet browsing speed. |
Distribution methods | Deceptive pop-up ads, free software installers (bundling), fake flash player installers. |

Malware Removal (Windows) | To eliminate possible malware infections, scan your computer with legitimate antivirus software. Our security researchers recommend using Combo Cleaner. |
Most unwanted apps are designed for one purpose - to generate revenue from collected data, clicked advertisements, and redirects. Few PUAs provide the features promised or give any other real value. By offering "useful features", these programs simply attempt to give the impression of legitimacy and trick users to install.
How did adware install on my computer?
Some potentially unwanted apps can be downloaded from their official websites, but most users install them inadvertently through intrusive ads or together with other regular software. Software developers often use the "bundling" method to trick users into installing unwanted apps.
This is often achieved simply by hiding PUAs in "Custom", "Advanced", and other similar options/settings of the download or installation set-ups.
Information about the inclusion of unwanted apps being in set-ups is not disclosed. Despite these attempts, it is possible to prevent download and installation of unwanted apps by paying careful attention during these stages. Generally, users who rush download/installation process and leave settings unchanged, install PUAs inadvertently.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To avoid installation of PUAs, download software from official, trustworthy websites, and using direct links. Avoid third party software downloaders/installers, peer-to-peer networks (such as torrents), and so on. Many of these tools are monetized by promoting potentially unwanted apps.
When installing software, ensure that you check "Custom", "Advanced", "Manual", and other similar settings. Opt-out of offers to install unwanted/additional software and only then finish the installation or download process. Bear in mind that clicking intrusive ads can result in redirects to untrustworthy or suspicious websites (gambling, pornography, adult dating, etc.).
If you encounter ads and redirects to such websites, check for any unwanted/suspicious entries on your browser (extensions, plug-ins, add-ons) and uninstall them.
Also check the list of installed programs on your computer and remove unwanted entries. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
