Wolve.pro POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is wolve.pro?
wolve.pro is another deceptive website identical to trustednotice.new, toponclick.com, pulseonclick.com, and many others. It redirects users to other dubious websites.
As a rule, visitors arrive at wolve.pro inadvertently, as they are redirected by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) or intrusive ads generated on other rogue sites. PUAs infiltrate systems without permission, deliver intrusive advertisements, and gather sensitive information.
After successful system infiltration, potentially unwanted applications start opening new browser tabs/windows and redirect users to wolve.pro. After visiting this site, users immediately encounter several consecutive redirects to other dubious websites. There is a high probability that at least one of these sites will be malicious.
Therefore, redirects to and from wolve.pro might lead to system infections. Unwanted apps deliver intrusive advertisements that may also redirect to infectious websites and even execute scripts that download/install malware. Clicking can also lead to system infections. Intrusive ads are delivered using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site.
Therefore, they often conceal underlying content, thereby diminishing the browsing experience. Another significant downside is data tracking. Most unwanted apps record data relating to browsing activity. Information such as IP addresses, website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and so on, usually includes personal details.
These are shared with third parties and misused to generate revenue. Therefore, data tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. You are strongly advised to uninstall all potentially unwanted applications immediately.

There are hundreds of unwanted applications, all of which share many similarities. These apps offer "useful features" in an attempt to give the impression of legitimacy and trick users to install. In fact, PUAs are designed only to generate revenue for the developers.
Rather than giving any value for regular users, they cause redirects, gather information, and deliver ads, thereby diminishing the browsing experience and posing a threat to your privacy and browsing safety.
How did adware install on my computer?
In most cases, unwanted apps infiltrate systems without permission, since developers proliferate them using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" and the aforementioned intrusive ads. "Bundling" is essentially stealth installation of rogue software together with regular programs.
Developers do not adequately disclose installation of unwanted apps, and thus all are hidden within various sections of the download/installation processes. Furthermore, many users often rush these procedures and skip steps. In addition, they click ads without understanding the possible consequences. This behavior leads to inadvertent installation of rogue programs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Lack of knowledge and careless behavior are the main reasons for computer infections. The key to safety is caution. Therefore, pay close attention when browsing the internet and downloading/installing software. Remember that intrusive ads usually seem legitimate, but redirect to dubious websites (gambling, adult dating, pornography, etc.).
If you experience these ads, eliminate all dubious applications and browser plug-ins. It is also important to select "Custom/Advanced" settings, analyze all steps of the download/installation processes, and deselect additionally-included programs. You are advised to download programs from official sources only, using direct download links.
Third party downloaders/installers often include rogue apps and, therefore, these tools should never be used. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
