Mobile-feednews.com POP-UP Redirect

Also Known As: mobile-feednews.com pop-up
Type: Adware
Damage level: Medium

What is mobile-feednews.com?

Similar or identical to beteim.com, oclasrv.com, trackingclick.com, and many others, mobile-feednews.com is a rogue website that redirects users to various other untrustworthy/unwanted websites. Many users visit mobile-feednews.com inadvertently due to potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) responsible for these redirects.

PUPs usually infiltrate systems without users' permission and redirect to mobile-feednews.com They also collect user-system information, cause unwanted/intrusive advertisements, and run various background processes.

mobile-feednews.com adware

Once a potentially unwanted program is installed it randomly opens new browser windows/tabs, and redirects users to mobile-feednews.com, which causes even more redirects (typically 2-3) to other untrustworthy websites that might contain malicious content. Redirects caused by the mobile-feednews.com rogue website can result in high-risk computer infections.

Furthermore, potentially unwanted programs tend to provide unwanted/intrusive ads (coupons, banners, pop-ups etc.) displayed via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. Therefore, they often conceal underlying content of any website.

Clicking these ads risks redirection to malicious sites or triggering execution of a script that downloads and installs malware or other potentially unwanted programs. Redirects to and from mobile-feednews.com and clicked intrusive ads (delivered by PUPs) can result in high-risk computer infections.

Another downside of potentially unwanted programs is information tracking - they usually collect user-system information such as IP addresses, search queries, geographical locations, visited websites, keystrokes, etc. and share it with third parties (potentially cyber criminals) to generate revenue.

Some potentially unwanted programs of this type are also known to run various background tasks, misuse computer resources, and reduce system performance. Installed PUPs are dangerous, offer no real value, and should be removed immediately.

Most potentially unwanted programs are identical - they offer various "useful" tools and claim to be legitimate, however, they simply generate revenue for their developers and deliver no real value for regular users. They can also cause unwanted redirects, deploy ads, gather information, and misuse computer resources rather than providing the functionality promised.

How did adware install on my computer?

Most PUPs can be downloaded from their official websites but they are usually installed through clicked ads or via a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". Bundling is stealth installation of third party programs (like PUPs) with regular software.

In most cases, users install potentially unwanted programs inadvertently - developers hide these bundled programs in "Custom", "Advanced", and other similar options/settings of the installation processes and do not disclose these installations properly.

Careless behaviour such as skipping installation steps and clicking on various ads often leads to inadvertent installation of potentially unwanted programs, and causes computer infections, privacy issues, and other problems.

How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?

Express caution when downloading or installing software and browsing the web. Download software using official, trustworthy sources and direct links only. Avoid downloading software using third party software downloaders - they are known to be monetized by promoting various potentially unwanted programs.

Do not use torrents to download software. Analyze each installation step carefully - check all available "Advanced", "Custom", and other similar settings/options and opt-out of unwanted offers. Do not let yourself be tricked into installing unwanted programs by skipping installation steps.

Avoid clicking ads, especially when visiting dubious websites. These ads may appear legitimate, since their developers invest time and money into their design.

If you have accidentally clicked an ad of this type and were redirected to an untrustworthy website (gambling, pornography, adult dating, etc.), check the installed plug-ins, add-ons, and extensions on your browser and recently installed programs on your computer.

Uninstall dubious entries (if found) immediately. If your computer is already infected with mobile-feednews.com, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this adware.
