Go.pajosh.com Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is go.pajosh.com?
go.pajosh.com is a fake web search engine identical to go.bonanzoro.com, go.zipcruncher.com, go.paradiskus.com, and many others. Its appearance barely differs from Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other legitimate search engines. Therefore, many users believe that go.pajosh.com is also legitimate and useful.
In fact, developers promote this site using a browser-hijacking application called Pajosh, which supposedly speeds up the software installation process. In addition, go.pajosh.com and Pajosh continually monitor users' Internet browsing activity.
Immediately after infiltration, Pajosh assigns the Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox new tab URL, default search engine, and homepage options to go.pajosh.com. These changes may seem insignificant, and yet users are unable to revert them. Research shows that Pajosh reassigns browser settings when attempts are made to change them.
Therefore, as long as Pajosh is present, returning browsers to their previous states is impossible and users are encouraged to visit go.pajosh.com when they open a new browser tab or search via the URL bar. In this way, Pajosh significantly diminishes the browsing experience.
Another important downside is information tracking - go.pajosh.com and Pajosh continually gather IP addresses, website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar data that usually includes personal details. The data is shared with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who generate revenue by misusing private data.
Therefore, data tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. We strongly recommend that you uninstall the Pajosh browser hijacker and never return to go.pajosh.com

The Internet is full of fake search engines that share similarities with go.pajosh.com. By offering improved results and (sometimes) other "useful features" (quick access to popular websites, weather forecasts, and similar) these sites attempt to give the impression of legitimacy, however, they deliver no real value for regular users, since their only purpose is to generate revenue for the developers.
Fake search engines cause unwanted redirects and gather personal data. Some feed users with false search results and intrusive advertisements that often lead to untrustworthy (potentially, malicious) websites. Therefore, using any fake search engine can lead to various computer infections.
How did Pajosh install on my computer?
Pajosh has an official promotion website, however, due to the lack of knowledge and careless behavior of many users, this PUP typically infiltrates systems without consent. Developers proliferate Pajosh using intrusive advertisements and a deceptive marketing method called "bundling".
Intrusive ads redirect to malicious sites and run scripts that stealthily download and install malware/PUPs. "Bundling" is stealth installation of third party apps together with regular software/apps. Developers hide "bundled" apps within various sections (typically "Custom/Advanced" settings) of the download/installation processes - they do not disclose this information properly.
Furthermore, many users click various advertisements, rush download/installation processes, and skip steps. This behavior often leads to inadvertent installation of potentially unwanted programs such as Pajosh - users expose their systems to risk of various infections and compromise their privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
The main reasons for computer infections are poor knowledge and careless behavior. The key to safety is caution. Therefore, pay close attention when browsing the Internet and downloading/installing software. Intrusive advertisements typically appear legitimate, but once clicked, redirect to gambling, adult dating, pornography, and other untrustworthy websites.
In most cases, these ads are delivered by adware-type PUPs. Therefore, if you encounter them, immediately remove all suspicious applications and browser plug-ins.
Furthermore, select "Custom/Advanced" settings, closely analyze each step, and cancel all additionally-included programs. Furthermore, download your applications from official sources only, using direct download links. Third party downloaders/installers are often monetized by promoting rogue apps, and thus should not be used.
