Fpseek.com Redirect

What is fpseek.com?
Developed by ClientConnect Ltd., fpseek.com is a fake Internet search engine that supposedly enhances the Internet browsing experience by generating improved search results. Initially, fpseek.com may appear legitimate and useful, however, this site is promoted via rogue download/installation set-ups designed to modify web browser settings without users' permission.
In addition, fpseek.com continually tracks Internet browsing activity by gathering various user/system information.
Deceptive set-ups hijack Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, assigning the homepage, default search engine, and new tab URL options to fpseek.com. These changes may not seem significant, however, users are unable to revert them.
Research shows that set-ups stealthily install a number of "helper objects" (third party applications and/or browser plug-ins) to reassign browser settings when attempts are made to change them.
Therefore, returning browsers to their previous states becomes impossible and users are forced to visit fpseek.com when they search via the URL bar or simply open a new browser tab. This significantly diminishes the web browsing experience.
In addition, fpseek.com and helper objects track Internet browsing activity by recording IP addresses, search queries, URLs visited, and other similar information that might contain personal details. Be aware that ClientConnect Ltd. shares this collected data with cooperating third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse private information to generate revenue.
Thus, data tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. If you encounter unwanted redirects to fpseek.com, uninstall all suspicious applications and browser plug-ins.
ClientConnect Ltd. has developed dozens of fake Internet search engines identical to fpseek.com including, for example, searchespro.com, mysecuresearch.net, seekforsearch.com, and many others.
All have identical appearance and behavior. By offering improved search results, websites such as fpseek.com attempt to give the impression of legitimacy, however, their only purpose is to generate revenue for the developers. They deliver no real value for regular users. fpseek.com, and these other sites cause unwanted redirects and gather personal information.
How did fpseek.com install on my computer?
To promote fpseek.com, developers employ a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". Research shows that many users rush the download and installation processes, and skip most/all steps. Aware of this, developers hide details of browser modifications within the "Custom" or "Advanced" settings.
By skipping this section, users grant set-ups permission to modify various browser settings, expose their systems to risk of various infections, and compromise their privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Potentially unwanted programs are distributed using the bundling method. Therefore, never rush the download or installation processes. Select the "Custom/Advanced" settings, carefully analyze each step, and cancel all additionally-included applications. Furthermore, never allow set-ups to modify options irrelevant to installation. The key to computer safety is caution.
