What is SaveNewaAppz?
The SaveNewaAppz potentially unwanted program (PUP) infiltrates Internet browsers using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling', and for this reason, is categorized as adware.
Bundling allows distribution of applications together with other software, and therefore, most users inadvertently install SaveNewaAppz during download of free software from freeware download websites.
After successful infiltration on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, SaveNewaAppz generates intrusive online advertisements including banner, pop-up, display, pop-under, and in-text ads. There is a high probability that clicking these advertisements will cause further adware or malware infections.
Additionally, users' Internet browsing activity is continually monitored, since SaveNewaAppz collects various software and hardware information that may be personally identifiable.
For example: search queries entered into search engines (Bing, Yahoo, Google, etc.), URLs visited, pages viewed, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine users' geo-locations), and other details. This information tracking can result in serious privacy issues or even identity theft.
Orbitum, Webplayer, VisualDiscovery, and CrossBrowser are just some examples from many applications similar to SaveNewaAppz, none of which are useful to the user - they are developed to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online advertisements and sharing collected data with third parties. Therefore, you are strongly advised to uninstall SaveNewaAppz from your system.
Research shows that most adware such as SaveNewaAppz is distributed via small programs called 'download clients' on freeware download websites including download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, etc.
These websites employ download clients to monetize their free services and traffic by offering installation of promoted (according to the developers, '100% legitimate and virus-free') browser add-ons or applications together with the chosen free software. Thus, reckless download and installation of freeware often results in adware or malware infections.
This situation can be prevented by closely observing each step of the free software download procedure.
Additionally, installation of downloaded software should always be performed using the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Typical', 'Regular', or 'Quick' - in this way, any additional options will be revealed and you will be able to opt-out of bundled applications listed for installation.
If you have installed SaveNewaAppz, follow the removal guide provided to eliminate this adware from your system.
