TrusteDealz Virus

What is TrusteDealz?
Created by Bit Wise Publishing LLC, TrusteDealz is a browser add-on, which claims to save online shoppers time and money by displaying coupon ads. Internet users should be aware that TrusteDealz is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted program (PUP), and therefore, you are advised not to install this browser plug-in.
This browser extension often installs on Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' consent together with free software downloaded from the Internet.
Developers of this add-on use a deceptive marketing method called 'bundling', and in most cases, installation of TrusteDealz is unwilling. This adware causes unwanted coupon ads, diminished Internet browser performance, and potentially serious privacy issues.
Furthermore, TrusteDealz tracks users' Internet browsing activity and may sell this information to third-parties. The best way to avoid installation of this adware is to pay close attention to the installation phase of any free software downloaded from the Internet.
Inspect each step of 'installers' or 'download clients', opting-out of installation of any additional browser toolbars or plug-ins. TrusteDealz is not technically a computer virus, however, it does cause various privacy and unwanted ad issues. Therefore, it is advisable that you eliminate this adware from your Internet browsers.
Most current freeware download websites (such as download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, and many others) employ download clients to monetize their free services. These small programs offer installation of promoted browser extensions along with the chosen free software.
Thus, careless download and installation of freeware may result in adware or malware infections. To prevent installation of TrusteDealz, or other potentially unwanted applications, pay close attention during the download of free software and click the 'Decline' button if installation of any additional applications is offered.
When installing downloaded software, select the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Regular' - this will reveal applications attempting stealth installation, and you will be able to opt out. This adware is similar to many other unwanted browser add-ons, which infiltrate Internet browsers through freeware downloads.
Examples include, Linkey, Topic Torch, and Vaudix. Users who have already installed the TrusteDealz plugin and observe "Ads by TrusteDealz" or "Ads by CouponDropDown" advertisements when browsing the Internet, should follow this removal guide to eliminate TrusteDealz adware from their Internet browsers.
