Tronzolo Ads

What is Tronzolo?
Tronzolo is a potentially unwanted application developed by SuperWeb LLC. It pledges to improve user's Internet browsing experience by showing website trust ratings, enabling comparison shopping, coupons, and adding other useful functionality. Although it might seem as a legitimate browser extension at first, users should be aware that it is categorized as an adware.
Tronzolo uses a deceptive software marketing method called bundling (secret installation of additional applications along with the chosen software) to install on user's Internet browsers without one's consent. After a successful infiltration it starts generating various types of advertisement, including: interstitial, transitional, text-link, search, banner, and full page ads.
What is more, user's Internet browsing is being constantly tracked, since this browser plug-in records diverse hardware and software information, such as: IP address, unique identifier number, URL's visited, search queries entered, pages viewed, and other similar information.
Such behavior may lead to serious privacy issues, identity theft or malware infections. By the time of research SuperWeb LLC had already released more than a hundred of rogue browser extensions, identical to Tronzolo (for example: Rock Turner, SearchFoot, Search maven).
This company is intentionally releasing identical, differently named browser extensions to avoid the detection by legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware software. Neither Tronzolo, nor any other of these add-ons add any true value for the user. Their main purpose is to generate revenue by showing obtrusive online advertisements.
Internet users should know that most of adware is distributed via download managers in freeware download websites (e.g., download.com, soft32.com, softonic.com, and many other).
The majority of these websites are using small download programs - download managers to monetize their free services by offering users an installation of promoted, "legitimate" browser extensions along with the chosen free software. Usually, reckless download and installation of freeware ends up in adware or malware infections.
This can be prevented by closely observing the whole freeware installation process and declining the offered installation of additional applications.
If you're installing the already downloaded software, always select "Custom" or "Advanced" installation settings, instead of "Quick" or "Typical," this step will reveal all the bundled applications that are trying to secretly install on your computer and you'll be able to decline their installation.
Users who have already installed Tronzolo and see "Tronzolo Deals," "Powered by Tronzolo" and "Ads by Tronzolo" advertisements when browsing the Internet, should follow this removal guide and eliminate Tronzolo adware from their Internet browsers.
