Supra Savings Ads

What is Supra Savings?
Created by ADPeak Inc, the Supra Savings browser add-on claims to save time and money while shopping online by displaying coupon ads when users visit online shopping websites. While this functionality may seem legitimate, computer users should be aware that the Supra Savings plug-in is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application.
This software commonly installs on Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) together with free software downloaded from the Internet. The developers of this plugin employ a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling'.
Following successful infiltration, Supra Savings generates intrusive third party ads and tracks users' Internet browsing activity. Supra Savings also generates intrusive online advertisements (by converting text on web pages viewed into hyperlinks, which link to advertisements).
Furthermore, the add-on continually displays banner, shopping comparison, in-text transitional, and in-text link advertisements. Clicking these ads can lead to installation of additional adware or even malware infections.
After successful infiltration, Supra Savings monitors and records the domain names of web pages viewed, IP addresses, search terms entered in Internet search engines (Google, Bing, and Yahoo) and other information, which can be personally identifiable. This tracking can lead to privacy issues and identity theft.
This browser extension adds no real value, diminishes Internet browser performance, and may lead to serious malware infections. For these reasons, you are advised to eliminate this adware from your Internet browsers.
Supra Savings is similar to other adware, which installs together with free software downloaded from the Internet. Examples include Savings Avenger, BaseFlash, and SmartSaver.
These browser plug-ins claim to enhance users' Internet browsing experience by adding various useful features, however, their main purpose is to generate revenue from the display of intrusive online ads. To avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications such as these, be attentive when downloading and installing freeware.
When downloading free software, inspect each step and decline installation of any advertised browser plug-ins. When installing free programs, use the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal any bundled adware listed for installation.
Computer users who observe unwanted coupon ads ("View Coupons") generated by Supra Savings when surfing the Internet, should use this removal guide to eliminate Supra Savings adware from their Internet browsers.
