RadioRage Toolbar

What is hp.myway.com?
RadioRage is a potentially unwanted application (PUA) developed by Mindspark Inc. This browser add-on is compatible with Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer and claims to enhance the browsing experience by allowing users to listen to their favourite music via the installed toolbar.
Although this functionality may seem legitimate, be aware that the RadioRage Toolbar is categorized as adware, since it infiltrates computers using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' and installs on browsers without users' consent.
After successful installation, this browser extension redirects browsers to home.tb.ask.com. Furthermore, this unwanted browser plug-in tracks browsing activity by recording IP addresses, search queries, default language settings, browser types, and other information.
Be aware also that most freeware download websites including, for example, download.com and softonic.com, use 'download clients' to monetize their free services. These are small programs offering installation of advertised browser extensions together with the chosen freeware.
Internet users who do not pay close enough attention when downloading these programs may inadvertently install RadioRage Toolbar (or other similar adware). At time of research, this toolbar was distributed using deceptive banner adds, which appeared within various free software download websites .

RadioRage Toolbar is identical to other potentially unwanted applications developed by Mindspark Inc. Examples include FreeBillPayAlert, ProductRecallAlert, LocalCrimeWatcher, amongst many others. In most cases, these toolbars add no real value for internet users - their main purpose is to generate revenue from browser redirects and deceptive advertisements.
RadioRage affects browser performance and can lead to malware infections or privacy issues. Mindspark Inc. has developed over one hundred similar add-ons, which cause browser redirect issues. Here is a general removal guide, which can be used to remove any toolbar created by this company.
To avoid these adware infections, express caution when downloading and installing freeware. When downloading freeware, prevent installation of any advertised browser extensions by clicking the 'decline' button. When installing free software downloaded from the internet, choose the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options, rather than 'Typical' or 'Quick'.
This step will reveal installation of any bundled adware. If you have already installed RadioRage Toolbar, follow this removal guide to eliminate it from your browsers. If your computer is already infected with RadioRage, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this browser hijacker.
