What is BuenoSeach.com?
BuenoSearch.com is a deceptive website promoted using BuenoSearch toolbar. This browser add-on installs together with free software downloaded from the Internet. It modifies users' Internet browser settings by assigning the default search engine and homepage to buenosearch.com
A common source of unwanted toolbars such as these is free software download websites, which use 'download clients' to manage freeware downloads. Download clients are small programs, which offer (some in a deceptive way) installation of free browser add-ons (commonly, adware) together with the selected free software.
Computer users should be attentive when downloading freeware, since reckless installation can result in browser redirects, unwanted ads, and privacy issues.
Buenosearch.com presents users with a search bar for searching the Internet, however, be aware that the results returned by this search engine are crowded with sponsored listings. Clicking on these can result in installation of additional adware or even malware, and therefore, it is not advisable to use buenosearch.com for daily Internet searches.
Technically, buenosearch is not a virus or malware, however, it is categorized as adware, a potentially unwanted application, or browser hijacker. You are strongly advised to eliminate it from your Internet browser/s.
BuenoSearch toolbar is developed using an API provided by Montiera Technologies. It is similar to Babylon, Delta Search, Nattly, and other potentially unwanted applications, which infiltrate users' Internet browsers via a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling'.
While none of these browser add-ons are categorized as malware, they cause browser redirects and present potential security risks to Internet users by generating deceptive ads and displaying sponsored search results (redirecting you to dubious websites).
The best way to avoid installation of buenosearch toolbar (or any other adware) is to pay close attention to the download and installation steps of free software. If your download is managed by a download client, decline installation of any promoted free browser add-ons.
When installing freeware, choose the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical'. This will allow you to opt-out of installation of any additional browser extensions. If you have already installed this toolbar and your Internet browser/s redirect you to buenosearch.com, use the removal guide provided to eliminate these redirect issues.
