How to stop browsers from opening reforeperc.pro

What is reforeperc[.]pro?
reforeperc[.]pro is one of many rogue websites that, if visited, redirects visitors to other web pages of this kind or presents dubious content. Some examples of other websites similar to reforeperc[.]pro include asonsbirthi[.]pro, pushstack[.]co, and readmenewz[.]com.
Typically, browsers open these sites when potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) are installed on browsers and/or operating systems. I.e., people do not open them intentionally. Apps categorized as PUAs display advertisements and collect information relating to web browsing activity.
Generally, installed PUAs open websites such as reforeperc[.]pro in a new browser window or tab. Once opened, they open about two or three other rogue websites or present dubious content. This depends on the visitor's geolocation. Websites opened by web pages such as reforeperc[.]pro are often used to advertise various untrustworthy applications, contain deceptive ads, etc.
Note that reforeperc[.]pro encourages visitors to start downloading a file/s by enabling browser notifications. In this way, reforeperc[.]pro uses a 'clickbait' technique to trick visitors into allowing it to show notifications.
We advise against allowing these sites to show notifications, since they often contain deceptive ads that can lead download and installation of other PUAs or even malicious apps. Furthermore, most PUAs gather data. For example, users' geolocations, URLs of visited websites, entered search queries, IP (Internet Protocol) addresses and other browsing-related data.
Some PUAs might be designed to record private, sensitive details as well. The data is shared by their developers with third parties (potentially cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue. Additionally, these apps feed users with intrusive ads. For example, pop-up ads, coupons, banners, surveys, and so on.
These conceal underlying content of visited websites and, if clicked, open untrustworthy (or even malicious) web pages, or run scripts designed to download and/or install unwanted software. Installed PUAs should be removed immediately, since they might cause problems with privacy, browsing safety, or even lead to identity theft.

Most PUAs are advertised as useful, legitimate applications, which supposedly provide useful features. Unfortunately, people who download and install them are served with unwanted ads, redirected to dubious pages, etc. They do not function as promised and put users at risk of various problems.
How did adware install on my computer?
In most cases, these apps are installed when people click intrusive advertisements that download and install them, or when they download/install regular software. PUAs are often included into the set-ups of programs and presented as additional offers. This distribution method is called "bundling".
Developers use bundling to trick people into downloading and/or installing unwanted apps together with other, regular software.
Typically, offers to download and/or install additional apps are hidden in settings such as "Custom", "Advanced", and so on. People who download and/or install software without checking or changing these settings often allow PUAs to be downloaded and/or installed by default.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
All software (especially if it is free) should be downloaded from official websites. Do not trust sources and tools such as Peer-to-Peer networks (torrent clients, eMule), unofficial websites, third party downloaders, installers, etc.
Check "Custom", "Advanced" and other settings of all download or installation setup and opt-out of/dismiss offers to download or install additional, unwanted software. Do not click advertisements that are displayed on dubious websites, since they often cause redirects to untrustworthy websites or unwanted downloads/installations.
Regularly check extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins installed on the browser and remove any unwanted entries immediately. The same should be applied to software of this kind installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
