How to uninstall ManagerPages adware
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is ManagerPages?
ManagerPages is an application that supposedly makes everyday browsing easier, however, rather than operating as a useful tool, it feeds users with unwanted ads.
This software is classified as adware and a potentially unwanted application (PUA). Most people download and install apps of this type unintentionally. Furthermore, PUAs often gather data relating to users' browsing habits. We recommend that you uninstall ManagerPages and other adware immediately.
Examples of advertisements displayed by adware include banners, pop-ups, coupons, surveys, and so on. In most cases, people who click them are redirected to untrustworthy and/or deceptive websites, or they run scripts that download or install a PUA or potentially malicious app.
It is impossible for these ads to go unnoticed, since they are displayed on all visited web pages and conceal underlying content. Adware should also be removed due to information tracking. These apps often record user details such as, for example, IP addresses, geolocations, entered search queries, addresses of visited websites, etc.
Furthermore, developers usually send the details to other parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse private data to generate revenue. These just some of the reasons why adware should not be installed on the browser or operating system.

If installed, adware such as ManagerPages can lead to unwanted downloads/installations, cause problems relating to browsing safety, privacy, etc.
Even if developers advertise these apps as useful or legitimate, they should not be trusted (and certainly not downloaded or installed). If any adware is already installed on your browser or computer, remove it immediately. More examples of apps also classified as adware are ForBrowser, CoverOpen, and WindowGroup.
How did ManagerPages install on my computer?
Potentially unwanted apps such as adware can be downloaded from their websites. These apps are also advertised through deceptive web pages and included into the set-ups of other programs. This is done to trick users into downloading/installing unwanted apps through other software.
Developers often achieve this simply by hiding information about additional downloads/installations in the options of set-ups such as "Custom", "Advanced", etc. In summary, developers hope that people will fail to check or change the settings, thus unintentionally allowing unwanted apps to be downloaded and installed with regular software.
Unwanted downloads/installations can also be caused by clicking intrusive ads that run scripts to download/install unwanted apps.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications
Do not download or install software of files via third party downloaders, Peer-to-Peer networks such as eMule, torrent clients, untrustworthy websites, third party installers, and so on. The best and safest way to download is using official websites. Furthermore, do not to leave "Custom", "Advanced" or other similar settings of any download or installation setup unchecked.
Unwanted downloads/installations can be avoided by dismissing offers to install or download additionally-included apps before completing all setup steps. Avoid clicking intrusive advertisements, especially those displayed on dubious web pages. If unwanted ads appear or redirects to dubious web pages happen often, check the list of apps installed on the browser.
Remove any unwanted extensions, add-ons, or plug-ins. The same should be applied to unwanted programs installed on the operating system. If your computer is already infected with ManagerPages, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for macOS to automatically eliminate this adware.
