What is VidSqaure?
VidSqaure is a deceptive application that supposedly provides a DNS service allowing users to access various websites that would otherwise be blocked in their countries. This functionality may appear legitimate and useful, however, VidSqaure is likely to infiltrate systems without users' permission.
Furthermore, this app gathers information relating to users' Internet browsing activity and displays intrusive online advertisements. For these reasons, VidSqaure is classed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and adware.
Following infiltration, VidSqaure generates pop-ups, banners, and other similar advertisements. To achieve this, developers employ a 'virtual layer' - a tool that enables placement of third party graphical content on any site. Therefore, displayed ads often conceal underlying content of visited websites, thereby significantly diminishing the web browsing experience.
Furthermore, they often lead to malicious websites containing infectious content - clicking them risks further adware or malware infections. As well as displaying advertisements, VidSqaure records various data types that might be personally identifiable.

VidSqaure is very similar to Counterflix, DNS Unlocker, Ghostify, and a number of other bogus applications. Adware delivers fake promises to provide functions to supposedly enhance users' web browsing experience, however, these claims are merely attempts to give the impression of legitimacy.
The only purpose of adware is to generate revenue for the developers and provides no significant value for regular users. Apps such as VidSqaure simply collect personally identifiable information and deliver intrusive online advertisements.

VidSqaure has an official download website, however, developers also distribute this PUP using a deceptive software marketing method called "bundling".

Windows 11 users:
Right-click on the Start icon, select Apps and Features. In the opened window search for the application you want to uninstall, after locating it, click on the three vertical dots and select Uninstall.
Windows 10 users:

Windows 7 users:

In the uninstall programs window, look for "VidSqaurE", select this entry and click "Uninstall" or "Remove".

Remove VidSqaure adware from Internet browsers:

Remove malicious extensions from Google Chrome:
Click the Chrome menu icon

Optional method:
If you continue to have problems with removal of the ads by vidsqaure, reset your Google Chrome browser settings. Click the Chrome menu icon
